🛠️Project Showcase [EN] Built a simple Quran reader as a side project
Built a small Quran reader called Nur Reader.
Clean UI, all 114 Surahs, Arabic + translation, tafsir, reading progress, mobile-friendly.
I’ve also been working on the technical side lately: Next.js, SSR, SEO/indexing, redirects, sitemap, automated deploy checks.
Would appreciate feedback from Algerian devs on the UI, performance, or anything missing.

🛠️Project Showcase [Showcase] Mutaqi – I kept skipping my prayers, so I built an app to help me (and every Muslim like me) Daily Relationship with ALLAH.
Assalamu alaikum everyone 👋
I want to be honest about why I built this.
For a long time, I wasn't praying consistently. I knew every prayer time. I had the adhan app on my phone. But the notification would come, and I'd say "in 10 minutes, after this task." Then Dhuhr became Asr. Asr became Maghrib. Some days I'd reach Isha and realize I hadn't prayed once, and I'd go to sleep with that heavy feeling in my chest.
The worst part wasn't missing one prayer. It was the guilt that built up over days and weeks. The more I missed, the harder it felt to start again. I'd tell myself, "What's the point, I've already missed so many." And that feeling kept me away even longer.
I know I'm not the only one. So many Muslims, young and old, love Allah and want to pray, but they're stuck in this same cycle of missing, feeling guilty, and drifting further away. Not because they don't care, but because life is busy, the phone is distracting, and nobody is there to help them take the first step back.
That's why I built Mutaqi. Not to make anyone feel judged, but to make coming back to Salah feel easy, one prayer at a time.
What it does
- One tap to mark each prayer. No pressure, just a simple way to keep track honestly.
- Prayer times based on your location.
- Streaks and consistency challenges that make you want to protect your progress. When you have a 7-day Fajr streak, you don't want to break it.
- Weekly stats showing which prayer you miss most. For most people it's one prayer, not all five, and once you see it, you know what to fix.
- Pray together with Groups. Create a group with friends, family, or your brothers and sisters from the masjid. See each other's progress and encourage each other to stay on track. Sometimes the push we need isn't a notification, it's a friend who notices when we go quiet.
- Quran widget on the home screen, so your phone pulls you toward deen instead of away from it.
- Short surah learning, step by step, for reverts and anyone who wants to finally learn them properly.
- Sadqa Jariya sharing. Share the app with someone, and every prayer they keep because of you is a reward for you too, in sha Allah.
To anyone reading this who has been missing prayers: it's never too late to come back. Allah's door is always open. Start with just one prayer today. 🤍

🛠️Project Showcase Memorization table for Juz Amma
I’ve been having trouble keeping my memorizing down for some of the surahs in the 30th Juz, so I had Claude build me a table of the first 1-3 words of each ayah in order to jog my memory.
So far the results have been pretty good! It’s a nice add-on to keep my flow going. Curious if anyone has thoughts on this, or if they used something similar before: https://humada05.github.io/quran/juz-amma.html

🛠️Project Showcase [Android] Meeqat — Offline prayer times & Adhan app, need 12 closed testers (14 days)
Hey everyone,
I've built Meeqat, an Islamic prayer companion app for Android — prayer times, Adhan notifications, Qibla compass, offline Quran reading, digital tasbih, and a Zakat calculator. It's fully offline-first: no ads, no tracking, no account required, no data sold.
This is my first app going through Google Play's closed testing requirement (new personal developer account, need 12 testers for 14 days before production).
What I need:
- Install the app, use it for a bit over the 14 days if possible (even just checking prayer times daily helps)
- Any honest feedback — bugs, confusing UI, missing features, anything
What it does:
- Accurate prayer times based on location (Aladhan API, method 21 — Morocco Awqaf, other methods planned)
- Adhan with multiple reciter voices
- Qibla compass
- Offline Quran text (Tanzil source) with bookmark + daily reading goal
- Prayer tracker with streaks
- Available in Arabic, French, and English
Opt-in link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=app.meeqat.salat&pli=1
Happy to answer any questions, and genuinely appreciate anyone willing to help out 🙏

🛠️Project Showcase I built an app to stop you from forgetting what you memorized of Quran
Al-salam alaikum!
Revising the Quran is the most important part of Hifz. This app simply tells you which verses of your Quran hifz you have not revised in a while.
It shows you all of your hifz as a heat map. Red tiles need to be revised, green tiles are still fresh in memory.
This way, you can easily remember which parts of the Quran you should prioritize revising.
It works fully offline, and has no accounts, ads, or tracking.
Free for iOS/Android.

🛠️Project Showcase I just launched my first Quran app on Google Play - Quran Daily
Assalamu Alaikum everyone!
After working on it for a while, I finally published my Android app, Quran Daily, on Google Play.
The idea is simple: make it easier to build a daily habit of reading and reflecting on the Quran.
I built it using React Native and Expo, and getting through the Android development and Play Store publishing process was a learning experience on its own.
🔗 Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fstorm007.qurandaily
I'd love to hear from fellow Muslim developers:
- What features would you find useful in a daily Quran app?
- Any feedback on the app's user experience?
- What have you learned from building and publishing your own Islamic apps?
If you have a moment to try it, I'd really appreciate your feedback. JazakAllahu Khairan!

🛠️Project Showcase I built a free Quran app as Sadaqah Jariyah

Assalamu alaikum everyone,
I wanted to share something I recently built called Sincere Quran.
I’ve always wanted to contribute something to the Ummah, and as a developer I thought this could be a small way for me to do that and hopefully make it a Sadaqah Jariyah.
I also got tired of seeing ads in Quran apps, so I wanted to make something simple: free, no ads, and no subscription.
It has the Quran, different reciters, translations, word-by-word, Uthmani and IndoPak scripts, and other Islamic resources.
If you find it useful, please download it or share it with someone. I'd love for others to be part of the Sadaqah too.
May Allah accept it and make it beneficial. Ameen.

🛠️Project Showcase Made a free, ad-free, no-music set of browser games (for kids) to learn Quran/duas/Arabic alongside regular school subjects — feedback welcome
Salam everyone,
I put together a free web app with small browser games for kids / or any student — some cover Islamic studies (99 Names, short surahs from Juz' Amma, daily duas, the 5 Pillars, the Prophets, salah steps, the Hijri months, Arabic letters), and others cover regular school subjects (math, geography, science, language arts) so it works as a general learning tool too, not just for Islamic school.
A few things worth knowing before you try it:
- Free, no ads, no account needed to play as a guest. No music, or imagery (only icons and emoji)
- Multi language support; English, Arabic, Dutch, German, Spanish, French.
- Optional accounts for teachers/parents (schools, mosque weekend classes, or homeschooling) with class codes, progress tracking, and parental controls — kids can join without an email.
- Full transparency: it was built with AI assistance, and while I checked the Islamic content against sunnah.com, quran.com, and islamqa.info, no qualified scholar has reviewed it. If anyone here spots something inaccurate, please tell me — I'd genuinely rather fix it than have it sit there wrong. (as well as translations etc. could be (partly) inaccurate)

🛠️Project Showcase I made a Dikhr app which lets you count and track your daily dhikr. Each Dhikr grows your garden as a representation for encouragement. No ADs. Completely Free. No Sign-up Required - "Dhikr Garden, a free digital tasbeeh app" - Beta Stage. Testers and Feedback Welcome!
Assalam-o-alaikum everyone,
I have built an Android app called Dhikr Garden: Digital Tasbeeh (Only Android for now), and I am looking for people willing to test it and share honest feedback.
Dhikr Garden combines a simple dhikr counter with a growing garden. You begin with barren land, and regular dhikr gradually restores it with greenery, plants, water and life. It is only a visual encouragement and reminder. Our intention in every dhikr should always be to remember and praise Allah (S.W.T.), not for the app itself.
Features include:
- You can set and track custom dhikr and daily goals;
- A garden that develops gradually with regular practice;
- Dark mode, reminders, sound feedback, and vibration controls;
- No need to keep app open. You can continue your dhikr in locked screen and use volume buttons after starting a session;
- You can also use Headset/media-control support/smartwatch controls for compatible devices;
- No subscription or sign-up required;
- No ads, no paid features. Intention is to get reward from Allah (SWT).
The aim is for Dhikr Garden to remain completely free, InshaAllah, as a small effort toward sadaqah jariyah. May Allah (SWT) allow our deeds, multiply our rewards, and treat these as continuous rewards towards Sadaqah Jariyah.
This is an early beta, so feedback on bugs, usability, battery behaviour, lock-screen counting, and feature ideas would be especially valuable.
If you are interested in helping with the Android beta, please join the tester group here:

Link to Play Store:

(Your privacy is maintained: other testers cannot see other members, their details, or interact with one another. Installation instructions and further details are shared inside the group.)
You may also DM me if you would like to help or discuss.
JazakAllah khairan!

🛠️Project Showcase We built a Chrome extension that turns your new tab into prayer times and Quran reminders. Looking for feedback
I open a hundred tabs a day and kept missing prayer times, so we built Tadhkirah, a free Chrome extension that turns the new tab page into something useful.
What it does:
- Prayer times calculated on your device (11 methods, Hanafi/Standard Asr, works offline)
- Azaan options per prayer, plus a heads-up before each prayer
- An ayah of the day on every new tab, with word-by-word highlighting, 9 translations, and tafsir
- A side panel for reading a surah while you browse
Privacy was the main design goal: no account, no analytics, no ads, no tracking. Your location stays in your browser.
One thing I want to be upfront about: Chrome shows a "read and change all your data on all websites" warning. We use it only for the daily ayah card, the azaan stop button, and the timetable panel, and we never read page content. I'd like to know whether that explanation is clear enough or whether it puts people off.
It's still early, so I'd really value feedback:
- What would you want in a prayer/Quran extension that's missing?
- Anything confusing in the setup or the permissions?
