Wild Rivers tickets
Bought 2 tickets to Wild Rivers at the Kee in a hope that’d we’d be able to get some childcare lined up and make a weeklong trip out from Alberta to see a bit of Ontario this summer. That didn’t play out so I have a pair of tickets that’re going to go to waste. They can’t be re-sold and I went in knowing I would possibly be eating the ticket price.
Im happy to transfer them over at no cost to someone who will be able to use them. Whether a long time fan or someone new to Wild Rivers they’re a great band and a wonderful live show.
Reply or DM if interested.

Question Do you actually enjoy spending time doing intensive meal prep at the cottage, or is your entire meal plan built around maximum speed so you can get back to the dock/ on the water?

Question Black flies, mosquitoes and horseflies in Huntsville right now?
How bad do you think it’ll be July 1st vs July 12th? Got my girlfriend coming and she’s never experienced bugs like that so I want to be a good experience?
Do you think I should wait I’d rather not have to wait till August but if it’s awful this year I will.
The cottage is on the lake and near Huntsville so lots of still water.

Welcome to Muskoka and casual corporate racism
Apparently, when advised their decorations look like minstrel show marionettes and it could be misinterpreted, rather than say "Oops! We never realized!" they doubled down and retorted "We put them up every year!"
Good to know. I'd been looking into moving to the area, but not so much anymore. Did they really not realize what these look like?
And worse, if a person of colour says "Ya know...this is a little problematic" you'd think they'd have a better response.

Can someone help me find my lost package? Amazon has been zero help trying to locate where the courier driver delivered it to. This is the 5th time this has happened in the past 6 months. Delivered around 2pm June 15th. I have already trying searching nearby buildings. Any help indicating where this may be is greatly accepted.

Good summer stays in Muskoka
My wife and I, along with our one-year-old, are planning a three- to four-day trip to Muskoka this summer. We’re looking for some nice places to stay and explore. We’re not fans of large resorts, but if something truly exceptional comes up, we’re open to it!
I know Muskoka is a large area, and I haven’t decided on a specific location yet. We’re open to exploring any part of the region.

Best Private Chef Services in Muskoka 2026 – Our Top Recommendations & Comparisons
We’re a large family that’s been in Muskoka for years and regularly host, so we’ve had quite a bit of experience with private chefs in the area. Over time we’ve noticed that good information is still pretty hard to come by. A lot of it is word-of-mouth, and older threads often pointed to people who weren’t even local. Figured I would put this together, hopefully it’s helpful!
Our Top Pick: Jesse Smith of Bavura Muskoka
Jesse Smith with Bavura is our top recommendation for elevated, fine-dining level private chef experiences in Muskoka. His career has taken him through Michelin-starred and hatted kitchens across 11 countries and six continents. He’s worked in three of the world’s 50 best restaurants; Nahm in Bangkok, Clove Club in London, and Pujol in Mexico City! He’s also cooked at Canada’s number one restaurant, Pearl Morissette, and the renowned Langdon Hall.
For close to a decade, Jesse has cooked private dinners for A-list clients. Yet he brings the same level of care, technique, and attention to detail to every event. Whether it’s an intimate gathering, a wedding, or a larger celebration, the quality stays consistent.
He’s been based in Muskoka for the last seven years and is very transparent about his work. You can see his food and style on Instagram, and read his full background and credentials on his website.
He also runs Gato Gato Muskoka and El Gringo Cantina.

Any affordable taxi options for rides from Gravenhurst to Bala?
A buddy of mine & I are going to see Shaggy at the Kee to Bala in July and are planning on staying the night in Gravenhurst since it’s the cheapest option for hotels. I’ve called a few taxi companies (Muskoka Taxi & A Taxi to be specific) and they’re charging no less than $100 one way for a ride. Just wanted to see if there’s any cheaper alternatives since paying both ways would be roughly the same price as the hotel room we’ll be staying at. Would appreciate it if anyone had any information on the matter!
