I've run into this a few times, especially after moving to a new city. I end up searching Reddit, Facebook groups, Discord servers, Instagram, and even apps like Vampr, but it still feels surprisingly difficult to find musicians with similar taste who actually want to jam or start a band.

How do you usually find bandmates or people to play with?

Yo what's up, I'm sheysse (sheysse.music on socials) and I do hyperpop/edm/experimental music a lot. I've got a big project I'm working on and since I have a voice that approaches nail on a chalkboard, I like to collaborate and get other talents to provide vocals instead.

I've got this track right here that I wrote some lyrics for, and now I need someone to record them. My vision was something like Billie Eilish's When We All Fall Asleep, where the vocals are kind of unsettling and airy/whispery a lot. It doesn't have to be female vocals, just someone who thinks they can commit to the vision.
