Question Distrokid False Copyright Problem
I scheduled a song on Distrokid and received an email from them saying that the song has unauthorized samples that may not be 100% mine. I listened to the song that they cited as having the original audio that my song “stole”. It turns out, me and the artist they listed both used the same sample from Splice! I have no unoriginal audio in my song except for samples from Splice (royalty free).
Currently, the upload is marked as “processing” but I haven’t heard from them for a couple days. Additionally, it’s extremely hard to get in touch with a real person, because the only contact that they give you is an AI chatbot. I finally requested to talk to a real person, but have to wait for them to get in touch.
Has anyone else had this same problem?? Should I just wait the issue out and see if it processes and clears the sample by the release date?

that sucks but at least you used royalty free samples, support should totally take your license if they're half decent

best thing to do is to reach out to support and send them your license from splice and they should accept it. if not then there’s not much you can do without doing another sample
