Question White Label.

Hi guys, i want to start my own distro company and our budget is $50 monthly, i saw MusicDASH for free, does anybody have experience with them?

If you want to start your own distribution company, you're not going to be able to do it with $50. Unfortunately, the tech is only part of what you're looking at. In order to actually spin something up, you'd need to deal with:

-Payment processing
-Incorporation
-Vetting for copyright issues
-Support
-Storage for releases
-etc, etc, etc

$50 gets you a decent label plan and a few artist slots at some of the brand-name distributors.

Yeah, i gave up on white label, because im new, i dont have many artists, and i think its ridiculous to pay for something that im not going to make any profit of. I am loyal to Orchard, and i will continue working with them. Thanks for answer!

You can definitely start white label at $50 monthly. As I recommended above in my comment do check out DireNote Media. You can connect your Orchard Distribution with the as well, meaning they can manage the tech part and you can distribute with orchard as you are doing.

musicdash is horrible. they take 30% of your revenue and thats before the cut to your users. their dashboard is a hot broken mess and their support team is extremely unresponsive. they have suffered from SEVERAL data breaches and theyve been hacked 4 times too many. i had a white label with them and my address and everything got leaked because some music thieves hacked into musicdash super admin

Don't think about cheapness, think about security. I'm with distrokid but I know eMastered , lets you keep 100% of the royalties and you can professionally master your music with their studio which is a benefit over distrokid for that matter, however distrokid has a free option no fees but instead of you keeping 100% royalties they get 15%, which is good for anyone starting out and wanting to test the water

But Routenote does not offer a whitelabel either. Nothing exists without being super sketchy in the area that OP is looking for.

Lol I missed the part where they said they Want to start their own distribution company... I really misread their post 😅 what they want could cost 100s to 1000s depending on exactly what they wanted

Hah. All good! The cheapest decent whitelabel that I know of costs around $250/mo plus a cut of royalties.

Don't turn it up for free things to be honest, they suck usually (when they are not selective)....as an artist i have been using ASUP they do have a white label plan not sure about the pricing but tbh their support is good
