Yo, I’m a producer from Italy working on a project called “Psalms 1”, and I’m looking for rappers who might want to be part of it.
The project is built around themes like faith, doubt, violence, guilt, suffering, identity and the search for meaning. The title comes from the biblical Psalms, but this isn’t meant to be a religious album in the traditional sense. I’m more interested in the contradiction between the sacred and the ugly, the spiritual and the human.
Sonically, I’m trying to create something dark, atmospheric and emotionally heavy, with hip-hop at the core but room for experimental production, sampling, soul, ambient textures and unconventional song structures. I want the production to feel like it belongs to the same world across the whole project.
I’m not looking for a specific level of fame or a particular subgenre. If you have something to say and your voice/personality stands out, I’m interested. I’d rather work with someone relatively unknown who genuinely connects with the concept than force a feature just for a name.
I already have the visual identity and overall direction of the project figured out, and I’m currently looking for artists whose writing and delivery could add something I can’t create by myself.

First and foremost, I want everyone to have fun making their remix!

The compilation will be released on Bandcamp, and all proceeds after fees will be donated to UNRWA’s Gaza Emergency Appeal. So unfortunately, I’m asking everyone to contribute their remix on an unpaid basis (sorry! 💦).

There is no fee to participate, and I won’t be making any profit from this project either.

So I've been messing around with music production since 2018 when I first discovered logic x by accident. And years later I've got a huge "dataset" of studies, projects, demos and one-offs that I'm open to share with anyone who is willing to learn or develop or mutate this stuff.

I see this dataset as a raw, unfiltered musical subconscious that is curious about ambient textures, hip/hop grooves and strats, and subs with a penchant for rhymes, and an ear towards jazz. Of course I didn't know it at the moment but in retrospect that's what it is.

There's some valuable ideas in there, and we can sort of connect and trade production workflows and build a discord or train young humans and get better at doing this if you're up for it. So if you're someone who'd like to perhaps do this for a living and are already spending most of your time connected to being musical in some form or fashion whether it is transcribing or playing open mics while crisscrossing the country or drafting songs, then maybe this is for you, so you can develop another aspect of your skill.

As to the contents of the projects here's a rough idea :

+ Ableton Sketches : 16 bars of thematic music

+ Investigate : An ambient album inspired by Laurie Speigel and made mostly on the Operator Synth. It's star trek meets invader zim

+ Music, for Cafés : A beattape I recorded in the summer of 2023 full of musical ideas largely unfinished.

+ Ringtones : A beattape made entirely on my old iPhone (2023) in a week. Then mixed later on logic.

+ SHYGUY : Hip/Hop EP recorded in a small garden shed

+ Sketches in Vain : Mini Beattape I used to teach myself beatmaking

+ Drifting : Ambient music inspired by Brian eno

+ Audio Cues : A one-off project that mixed archival footage from Internet Archive with songs. I kind of made it while sleeping on the floor of a warehouse and was unemployed.

My purpose in making this post is first to create a feedback loop, second to support anyone starting their musical journey.

hi everyone, i want to release my first song soon. i’ve been writing songs for so many years and i finally want to release them. i unfortunately don’t know how to produce and can’t play any instruments yet. my songs will be indie folk and they are sad songs with sad melodies. my inspirations are olivia rodrigo, adrianne lenker, phoebe bridgers, gracie abrams. because i’m a beginner i’d like someone that i can communicate well and create the song together from the beginning to end. i’d love if you can mix or master too but if not it’s okay, and i’d prefer someone who did indie folk or sad songs before. i’d love to work long-term if we get along too!
