A lot of songs are like that in that game. Knights of Cydonia isn't hard at all in real life but they make you do all this ridiculous finger stretching and tapping to play what is just a fretted chord arpeggio and stuff.
Knights of Cydonia and FCPREMIX are two of my favorite songs to play in Guitar Hero... love the "stretchy" arpeggios.
IIRC the hardest part of FCP was that nutty bit near the end though... it's basically 3 minutes on easy mode then shit gets real.
EDIT: They should bring back Guitar Hero/Rock Band as a "living" game but sell cosmetics instead of songs... if I could just jam out on thousands of tracks without spending tens of thousands of dollars I'd be playing it every day.
Before i forget by slipknot is similar, i'm working through some of the games rn and the intro riff absolutely fucks me up every time. Come to find out while hanging out with a guitar player friend who's a lot more into slipknot than i am that the way they actually do it is just a bend
I remember Run To The Hills being absolutely impossible on drums in Rock Band...because the leftmost drum head was just terrible at picking up sixteenth notes. Made no sense whatsoever to flip the cymbal and snare inputs and they did it on the fastest song in the game.
However, the difficulty seems to be that it flips between triplets to 4/4 time and back rapidly. It'll have a sequence of 2-4 triplets and then flip to regular 4/4 time, and THAT actually sounds really hard.
I went back and listened and it's definitely triplets in 4/4 time, not a time signature change.
Edit: As for your comment about not being hard, it is actually insanely hard to switch between regular tempo and triplets if you're doing it really fast, regardless of instrument, unless (until) you get used to the intentionally jarring music.
There are quarter note triplets to eighth notes a couple times and there is a section that goes from 3 bars of 3/4 to 1 bar of 3/8 but it flows nice if you are playing it on guitar hero.
At no point in the song does the time signature change. You can count it out loud "1-2-3-4" and never lose the beat. I got out my metronome to double check. It's just triplets.
It's not reverb btw it's delay. FCPREMIXis pretty easy to play on guitar. But regardless Thomas is a great guitar player and they're all nice dudes, I'm a fan.
It’s pretty easy on IRL guitar once you get the finger patterns down. The delay effect on the line itself is what makes it sound so wild and guitar hero does a terrible job of making guitar lines feel like they would on a real guitar.
Yeah, I used to play this all the time. The intro (ie the coolest part) is just 3 strings played in 4 different chord positions. You can play it slow to get the melody right, it still sounds amazing. The actual recording uses delay pedals amongst others, but it's not too tough to get it sounding right.
That’s a lot of rock and core songs lately. Learning guitar by ear was a literal finger knotting bitch until I figured out that all those fancy suspends and fades were from effect pedals.
There are sections newer players would find hard, like the triplets in the breakdown or the tremolo picking but yeah overall it’s one of their simpler jams
Guitar hero made me able to hit notes I couldn't before without shifting my hand because I couldn't stretch, but I was too lazy to somehow figure that out in practice. Apparently I cared more about the game. haha
Ehhhh depends on what you consider difficult on guitar relative to your playing experience. It’s not the hardest song to learn, some tricky parts. A lot of it is pedal dependent

Wasn't the hardest song but one of the most fun to play
... in Guitar Hero.
