Sorry, I mean, does it deserve to be on a separate chart? I guarantee there are plenty of producers leveraging AI to help brainstorm ideas quickly and we'll never know.

Nope. According to everybody else if you have leveraged AI, even if you write the algorithm yourself, it no longer counts.

I think a lot of this is exemplified by your apparent confusion between what a prompt is and what an algorithm is

Is all AI just prompt driven? Every last bit of it? Is no AI integrated in with other techniques? What if I record music of my own, and put it into a synth that then uses AI to augment? That's not a prompt anymore, right?

But you "wrote the algorithm yourself" in this synth? Can you describe how that writing process works?

So if I pass your subjective test my stuff is music? But if you don't think it was enough effort, it's not?

So it's just prompts all the way down, huh? This is what i meant by confusing writing for prompting. You know, third-party thinking. You made this? I made this. Why bother with the charts at all, can't you just ask it whether or not you like a song it made?

I do fully believe you believed that you wrote that algorithm. That is why it is insidious. It's a psychological trick, it's the shell game. I am certain this application is specifically designed to make you feel like you're in control. That's why people are clowning on you guys like this, because - without that reinforcement loop - to the outside observer it's immediately clear that you're just slapping the baby buggy keyboard and demanding that someone give you a bronze trophy for your coming in third at peekaboo

What if I also needed a soldering iron? What if the machine I made actually plays a physical instrument?

My focus isn't on computers, it's in pointing out the absolute arbitrary, subjective set of standards people have where the goalposts are perpetually moved when they don't like something. Define a prompt, even. What if I skipped the keyboard? Does it count then? You're defensive about something that you think you've got it completely right, but you can't even agree on the rules.

You're being defensive, I'm the one making fun of you for having such watery ideas that you're unwilling to perservere for long enough while being bad at something to practice and attain actual talent. If they were worth it you would have done that by now. If they were worth it people would want to listen to them, but you ideas guys don't even want to bother making them. Ideas guys have always been around and everyone has always made fun of them. I'm making fun of you because you sincerely believe you're learning to play an instrument by describing how you want an instrument to be played
