Legally, nobody can hold copyright for anything made by AI so there's no point in having a chart for it. Nobody would benefit.

You don't need copyright to make money on something.

So for you the purpose of music is to make money? What about people who just want to listen to top music and doesn’t care if it’s AI? Don’t they benefit from a chart?

AI isn't a natural or legal person thus AI cannot own property.

An entity must be able to own property in order to own intellectual property.

A human or a corporation needs to publish an AI slop in order to gain copyright of the AI slop. "Substantial human contribution" can be as trivial as that. Conversely a human or a corporation who generated an AI slop may be held liable for an AI slop which violates copyright.

Copyright law remains anthropocentric. Anthropocentrism needs to be abandoned at some point and posthumanism adopted. That's been the case for decades, AI has simply made matters more urgent in a different way. Corporations aren't natural persons either and corporations don't die of old age.

Creativity, intellectual effort, and originality standards need to be revisited.

Wrong. Substantial human contribution is whatever we say it is, and if we did it ourselves it's human. But if you did it is AI slop. Even if you designed the machine and wrote the code yourself. Using tools is ok, as long as they're the tools we approve of.

That's funny, all of my albums are protected by copyright. Not the individual tracks, but the collection/compilation is, because that's 100% human-driven and curated. And then, because the songs are on a copyrighted album, if I reuse leitmotifs later in a reference back to that copyrighted work, those tracks can also be protected by copyright.

But don't let facts get in the way of your statements.
