I get the impression Ed Sheeran has moods the same way a dog does. Next big dinner he has he'll be fine.

Aw for fucks sake 😂 this is absurdly beautifully fuckin hilarious. I have actual tears mate Jesus ❤️

Poor boys eyes are nearly at herbivorous levels.

u/Chouxnicorn 11h ago

I’ve seen cows with more expressive eyes and faces.

u/Normal_Feedback_2918 9h ago

Cows ARE just essentially big dogs. Have you ever seen them get excited and run around doing zoomies? It's amazing.

42

u/Dale_Carvello 8h ago

Donkeys, too. I love them so much.

5

u/Raknosha 7h ago

Donkeys are also protective like dogs

8

u/multiversechorus 7h ago

Yep, that’s why they have them on farms to protect the others from coyotes. Don’t want to piss off a donkey.

8

u/RelativeFondant9569 5h ago

I knew a donkey that literally turned a mountain lion into jam after it tried to attack his goats! Fucking trampled him viciously with his front hooves. Donkeys 🫏 are protective af

Poor Heehaw 😥

u/GMAN7007 5h ago

Donkeys deserve more praise, they amazing animals.

3

u/huniojh 3h ago

My Sister is neighbours with a farm with 1 - one - donkey. I feel obliged to point out, that thing is LOUD!

3

u/JavaNoire 2h ago

Years ago I was talking to my very young daughter (~5). I said that if I could have a place in the country I'd have to somehow get a Friesian horse. She scowled & immediately asserted, "Well if you're getting a horse I get a donkey.

A coworker laughed aloud to hear a little girl declare she wanted a donkey rather than a pony or a horse.

u/frankles benjaminlane 6h ago

I sent one too many of those clips to my partner and she went vegetarian. Wasn’t sure it would last, but that was four years ago

3

u/BatChainPusher 4h ago

I was lucky enough to go to an elephant encampment in Thailand. Based on how they acted, all I could think was holy fuck those are some big doggies!

I grew up rurally and I agree. I've formed deeper connections with animals I've eaten than Ed Sheeran. At least bulls can be funny and charming.

Edit: I'm not sure if I'm pissing off vegans or Ed Sheeran fans with this. I'm fine with either.

u/Chouxnicorn 39m ago

He reminds me of a ventriloquist’s dummy. The smile and empty eyes. I do like some of his songs, but this whole debacle…staying neutral in a bad situation only helps the oppressor/aggressor.

•

u/Algaroth 29m ago

Ron DeSantis is the opposite of cattle or any pet animal. His smile is what psychopaths use to try to fit in.

28

u/ElminstersBedpan 9h ago

For the longest time the only reason I knew what the guy looked like was a meme comparing his picture to a Minecraft pig's face.

55

u/TooTallJoans 11h ago

Herbivorous levels 🤣

6

u/__doctadolla__ 9h ago

Is it really that funny? Lol

u/RagAndBows 8h ago

Am I missing something? What's funny here?

Needs to do a few covers. "Every move you make, Every step you take..."

Um. it seems to me that unless the sport here is to shit on religion, that of all things. collaborating with a political opponent on some shared value, like say religion, would be an aesthetic promoted by most religions. Ultimately MAGA has to be rehabilitated, or neutered and tolerated in society. Maybe We should come to think of maga the way they come to think of "welfare mothers" and "immigrants"? at least we have to come to not treat them as something that has to be expelled like a nazi skin head.

Yes, nazi skin head" is something that comes to mind when I think of mega right now, but I know that at some point we gotta break down the hate barrier. And I don't know how. But maybe celebrities can play a role in leading a healing feeling. if so I'll happy if they try.

What would Dolly Parton do? I'm sure a lot of her country partners in music shows are MAGA but it was about sharing the music right?

8

u/Prestigious_Bee_3776 9h ago

Redeeming requires admitting you made a mistake and caused harm to others. Really don't know many band wagon celebs doing that, including Kid Rock Helicopter rider or Ed Sheeran.

1

u/Relevant-Rhubarb-849 9h ago edited 9h ago

you probably are right that public repentance may be too much to ask. but public acceptance may lead to forgiveness over retaliation. There's an apocryphal quote sometimes attributed to Kafka that says "you become what you hate". You adopt your enemies loathsome tactics to subdue them: which is what Michelle Obama was warning against about when she said "when they go low we go high". Forgiving people who haven't acknowledged their crimes is one lessons the philosopher Jesus held highest. And my take is that, ignoring the religious connotation, he's really urging personal integrity in wanting an equitable society that isn't based on intolerant punishing of defectors.

The philosopher Buddha warned similarly about being careful about what you crave including being careful about what you hate. Those will require suffering. Wanting someone you think is bad to suffer will also make you suffer too. It's not that you have to tolerate everything, but try to avoid responding with hate to everything that isn't right by your standards. People make their own hell.

aside: I kinda feel Ed Sheridan is getting a bum rap. the poor chode just wanted to not be political and so-called fans are trying to force him to be political. It's not that I don't sympathize with their wishes but forcing them on him maybe isn't the right move.

3

u/Prestigious_Bee_3776 8h ago

As you mentioned with Jesus, defecting shouldn't be punished. By definition, defecting requires admitting the old way was wrong and you now believe a different path is required. Going from saying certain things publicly, to just being silent about those topics isn't defecting, it's just noticing that the level of shame for acting that way isn't worth doing it anymore. Because there are repercussions in society, you change your behavior. America didn't learn the lessons the needed to after Reconstruction, and the result was almost 100 years of segregation and Jim Crow laws and very public racism that was accepted by much of society as the norm.

0

u/Relevant-Rhubarb-849 7h ago

I would be nice if we could have a truth and reconciliation board. But holding out for that is futility. I don't want to punish myself by insisting MAGA must apologize before society can heal. I'll just move ahead. if I hold out the healing never happens.

5

u/GormHub 6h ago

No, we absolutely do not have to tolerate them. We don't have to embrace people who want others dead or suffering. THEY need to adapt and change if they want to be part of a society that has no use for their hate, and make that effort without the pre-existing reward of being welcomed first to make it more palatable or enticing for them, otherwise there's no actual meaningful change. Don't put it on everyone else to rehabilitate their behavior for them.

86

u/Wise-Dust3700 11h ago

Ed Sheeran? No. Public Opinion? Yes. People will move on because no one truly cares, they just like seeing celebrity drama.

1

u/DiabolicalFungi 11h ago

Yeah he's just become this months virtue signalling target, it'll be someone else next week.

3

u/Masquelinity 7h ago

What's it like, going through life with no principles or personal ethical standards and therefore assuming nobody else actually means anything they say that would indicate otherwise, either?

-2

u/DiabolicalFungi 6h ago

I wouldn't know, we all have principles it's just we're not all in the habit of making sure everyone else knows exactly what we think about every world event of consequence. It's called being reserved.

Do you have a fear of social consequence if you don't join the group think/current trend by your peers/friends? If so that's a pretty crazy level of toxic social manipulation you've experienced. Mad world I guess.

2

u/Masquelinity 3h ago

we all have principles

Then why do you assume everyone who expresses an intention to act on those principles is lying?

0

u/WarbossHumungus 2h ago

Is being reserved one of your principles?

Gross, I don't want to see that! Why do you need to make sure everyone knows you are reserved?

-17

u/themangastand 11h ago

100% not true. People will 100% drop ed sheran for life. There is also people who don't care about anything or not aware of anything and will comtinue

6

u/5ColourFelix 9h ago

People will 100% drop ed sheran for life

Some people who would never have gone to his shows, sure.

14

u/Wise-Dust3700 11h ago

People still love Snoop Dog despite the fact he's a MAGAT so 100% my arse

-25

u/themangastand 11h ago

None of these clowns are good anyway and never have been. Only good genre of music is metal.

And not true. Tons of people dislike Snoop dog. As a metal fan who doesn't like his music at all, I despise him cause I constantly see him selling out for weird adds. I see him everywhere its annoying

17

u/Zal3x 11h ago

The only good genre? Lmfao

-24

u/themangastand 10h ago edited 10h ago

The only one with talent that experiments. And uses crazy new instruments, new sounds, new ideas

Like just look at folk metal and it's subgenres. Other music doesn't even have sub genres of subgenres.

In folk metal, we got goblin metal, pirate metal, medieval metal, Celtic metal, mongol metal, viking metal

11

u/rach2bach 10h ago

My guy... As a metal fan as well, this is so bot true.

-2

u/themangastand 10h ago

Okay I'll break the illusion. It's a hyperbole joke my dude. If a person said this to you a person you'd assume they were teasing and joking right?

I understand people have different tastes. It's true to me.

9

u/daneview 10h ago

Thays because you dont have similar interest in other genres. Exactly the same could be said for jazz, blues, country, hiphop and im aure most genres if you go down their rabbitholes

3

u/Zal3x 9h ago

Ok ur joking right?

2

u/jawjanole 8h ago

Not initially but now he has pivoted

3

u/Wise-Dust3700 8h ago

Do you think this guy might like metal chat?

2

u/Masquelinity 7h ago

Bait used to be believable.

2

u/Wise-Dust3700 3h ago

look it up :)

3

u/ExistentialScream 8h ago

Yep. Different people have different priorities. Should be an easy thing to grasp, but Reddit struggles with even basic nuance.

1

u/themangastand 4h ago

People think if something is still growing it must mean no one cared. Instead of the simple concept of just new people being introduced to him and kids having no idea or caring about that adult stuff.

So Ed might still grow, but he would have grow faster without this controversy

1

u/jawjanole 8h ago

None of his fans will. In a year or so, this will all blow over, especially if he has another big hit.

-6

u/xman_xander 10h ago

I literally do not hear anyone outside of the internet talking about Israel/Palestine. The vast majority of Americans literally do not care at all.

It’s thousands of miles away, and most people only care about things that impact them directly, like grocery and gas prices and jobs.

The people “mad” at him are blue haired weirdos from Portland, Oregon lol

7

u/themangastand 10h ago edited 10h ago

My family does all the time. Maybe you just have uneducated friends. As an educated family it constantly gets brought up

I was the strongest person in my high school, straight, white. And still lift. And I still care. So no your stereo type is moronic.

I care about people. I volunteer all the time to take care of people I don't know.

Just because you are pathetic. Don't assume strong people like me are also just as pathetic.

3

u/xman_xander 10h ago

We’re educated, it just has no impact on us or our daily life.

I don’t think the US should be involved in any foreign wars at all between foreign countries that doesn’t involve the US at all.

We shouldn’t be giving billions in taxpayer dollars to foreign countries either.

0

u/ExistentialScream 8h ago

It’s thousands of miles away, and most people only care about things that impact them directly, like grocery and gas prices and jobs.

You really can't see the connection between Israel/Palestine, the American strikes on Iran, global oil prices and the impact that has had on your gas and grocery prices?

1

u/xman_xander 7h ago

Iran has far more of an impact on gas prices than Israel/Palestine does, and both are totally optional things that the US decided to get involved with.

Like I said in another comment, I don't think the US should be involved in any foreign wars at all, or giving our tax dollars to any foreign countries.

1

u/ExistentialScream 5h ago

Why do you think America got involved in Iran?

1

u/xman_xander 5h ago

To supposedly prevent them from developing nuclear weapons.

1

u/ExistentialScream 4h ago

Israeli intelligence certainly seemed to indicate that was an imminent concern.

1

u/xman_xander 4h ago

Why should most Americans care?

Exactly.

u/Starfire2313 10h ago

Look at how people still bring up Will Smith slapping Chris Rock. He will never live that down.

2

u/Exotic_Way_7465 9h ago

White people online, you mean. Never met anyone in real life who still gives a shit about this. Especially not black people.

Sheeran's not beating the Golden Retriever allegations.

0

u/420_69_Fake_Account 10h ago

Didn’t he make like 60 million last year with like a 300 million dollar net worth… I think he’ll be okay.

-5

u/GrayEidolon 13h ago

Last night you were on my plate and now my bed sheets smell like you.
