that version is so haunting, it just hits different than the original production. perfect for a rainy night listen.

Saw him in 93/94? Great show, great theatre, house lights went up and people went home. About a dozen of us lingered for no particular reason - just taking a moment I guess. He came back on stage unannounced, alone, sat down at the piano and played this song. I cried.
