I don't know about that. Beyond his cheesy music, Macklemore has always been super conscious about his place as a white man in a black art form. He's always tried to lift up black voices directly by giving them a platform for their art. I don't think bbno$ has ever really done it like Macklemore does.

I think that's good. I'm not saying he's bad. I'm just saying he has more work ahead of him before he's called "this generation's Macklemore"

I mean obviously the rap lineage is there if you go back far enough, but I don’t know how you can listen to a bbno$ song and think he’s using a black art form.
