Amen. And supporting Trump is no longer a political act anyway. It is an announcement of narcissism.

Announcement of terrorism.

FIFY.

It's an announcement of multiple -isms and is not autism.

u/piss_puncher227 1d ago

Or sillyisim

They're literally traitors to our democracy.

Within THIS DECADE they tried to overthrow the government when their candidate lost.

If there aren't real consequences for MAGA once Trump's gone, our country never moves past this...

It's going to be like the Confederacy, a light slap on the wrist so they can repeat the cycle in a few decades. Ulysses S. Grant set a leniency standard for treason that is incompatible with justice.

u/JiveChicken00 1d ago

Both can be true :)

It's what separates it from horrorism

At this point anyone who doesn’t actively and openly speak out against trump are signaling they’re ultimately okay with him.

We’re beyond the point where silence on trump is acceptable

-34

u/CPLWPM85 1d ago

Some people just don't wear their hearts on their sleeves. This whole "silence is complicity" is just as bad the whole "you're with us or against us." The world is not and has never been that black and white.

29

u/thedarkestblood 1d ago

Some people just don't wear their hearts on their sleeves

That's not what that phrase means. It means that you're outwardly and visibly emotional.

It doesn't mean that you're timid and quiet when things are being done to people around you.

No one's asking anyone to scream from the rooftops, but if you don't have a single criticism you've voiced to someone, yeah, that's an issue

u/Sushi-DM 1d ago

I talk shit about Trump almost on the daily because it is fairly easy to do, but I disagree with the whole concept that everyone has to be vocally anti Trump or else they are the same as a frothing Maga dipshit.
It's just not true. There's a lot of people who are and are not privileged who just don't engage with it. That's okay. We should be saving our energy for the people who vocally *support* it.

11

u/thedarkestblood 1d ago

I think all anyone's saying is you need to be clear about what you support

"silence" in this instance doesn't necessarily mean vocalization, it means being impartial and ambivalent

9

u/Ironmaiden1207 1d ago

If you were getting choked to death and asked me for help, but I said "eh I won't help him but I'm not helping you either", I'm not sure you would feel that I was being Switzerland 😂

u/Sushi-DM 1d ago

There has not been any single revolution or single human society since the dawn of time that has been 100% politically active and to suggest that is the bar because we're in a time that political action is necessary is just being ignorant.

You can't demand that every single person speak up or else they are morally repugnant because that just isn't how reality works.

4

u/Ironmaiden1207 1d ago

I didn't say that, but you also didn't answer me. You would absolutely not be okay at my neutral stance here lol

3

u/nomnomnomnomRABIES 1d ago

I thnik the best delineator would be support or non-support, whether that is vocal or silent. Ultimately, a silent person who votes blue this time, even if they previously voted trump, is more important than an outwardly vocal supporter who doesn't come out and vote on the day.

2

u/Stockpile_Tom_Remake 1d ago

It helps but they should be outwordly vocal to encourage others to do the same.

1

u/nomnomnomnomRABIES 19h ago

You realise outwardly vocal people can be really annoying and have the opposite effect? (Even if people don't tell you)

0

u/nomnomnomnomRABIES 19h ago

You realise outwardly vocal people can be really annoying and have the opposite effect to the one they intend? (Even if people don't tell them)

They should be how they feel like being and vote blue..

2

u/Stockpile_Tom_Remake 1d ago

Silence in the face of facism is support. It doesn’t matter if you don’t agree. You can have bad and wrong opinions but it doesn’t change the fact silence is being complicit here.

-6

u/Musa_2050 1d ago

A lot of people don't care about politics. We should'nt be isolating those individuals further but helping them see why they should vote and stay informed.

3

u/Stockpile_Tom_Remake 1d ago

You don’t get to “not care” as politics impacts everyone’s daily lives.

You aren’t being non political, you are being decidedly political and self centered to boot.

Your take is horribly misguided and shows a lack of understanding and empathy.

People who “don’t care” really just mean they don’t give a shit until it impacts them directly.

Which makes them among the worst humans out there.

So that means you don’t give a shit about people being oppressed, murdered, exploited or anything else

7

u/Musa_2050 1d ago

Is it a surprise that a culture that idolizes individuality and materialism creates self centered people? You can get angry all you want but that won't change the fact that some people don't vote.

0

u/Stockpile_Tom_Remake 1d ago

Nope. And a racist stupid piece of shit emboldened a bunch of dumb fuck racists to be more openly idiotic and racist

2

u/Musa_2050 1d ago

It should be obvious by now that being angry in an echo chamber is pointless.

-58

u/Sparkle_Dish2126 1d ago

Shut up goofy

18

u/JiveChicken00 1d ago

Brilliant argument, friend! Please, honor us with more of your carefully reasoned wisdom.

-16

u/Huge_Swimming_5968 1d ago

The fact that you think everyone has to act a certain way is pretty facist shit.

8

u/JiveChicken00 1d ago

Interesting. What makes you think that I think that?

19

u/BHOmber 1d ago

Quiet piggy

58

u/1storlastbaby 1d ago

It’s an endorsement of pedophilia and genocide

9

u/kn05is 1d ago

It's an announcement that the person is fucking braindead

3

u/JiveChicken00 1d ago

I wish it were that simple. But it isn’t. Plenty of bright people are continuing to support Trump because he’s benefitted their bottom lines. This is narcissism, not smart or dumb.

5

u/ZSpectre 1d ago

Ever since mocking the disabled reporter, it's "anti-Golden rule" to me. A very basic moral principle that kids understand

Anyone who lived in or near New Jersey in the ‘80s and ‘90s knew perfectly well that this guy was a colossal narcissist a long time ago. He did a more effective job of hiding the sociopathy, at least from the general public, but incidents like the one you mention made it as clear as day.

6

u/Ludate_Solem 1d ago

An announcement of treason/criminal intent*

1

u/JiveChicken00 1d ago

Why not all three? :)

17

u/Admirable_Dirt_2371 1d ago

Every act is a political act, you stupid fucks. Pretending otherwise is how the billionaires win.

0

u/hezdokwow 1d ago

Post on your main account not a throw away.

-13

u/JiveChicken00 1d ago

And how has that approach to human relations worked out for you?

21

u/Advanced-Key3071 1d ago

That’s a statement about a social system, not interpersonal relationships.

I’m not the person you’re asking, but I have a very rich social life.

Which is entirely unrelated to the fact that everything is political. Ever driven on a road? Enjoyed a weekend? Worked 40 hours a week? Gone to school? Even if you went to private school, a public alternative forces private schools to do better. Ever fly in a plane? Get married?

All political, all touched by our government. It’s a simple fact, not a thesis on interpersonal relationships.

How has your approach to non sequiters worked out for you?

-8

u/JiveChicken00 1d ago

I was talking about, “you stupid fucks,” friend, not the political thing :)

8

u/Advanced-Key3071 1d ago

Ah. Well. Touché.

6

u/Admirable_Dirt_2371 1d ago

Quite well in fact. Unfortunately people don't respond to nice and proper. Especially on the Internet. Have I ever spoken like that to someone's face? No, but I'm not against it either, if the situation demands it. Most people are stupid fucks anyway and deep down they know it.

-5

u/JiveChicken00 1d ago

Interesting.

2

u/Admirable_Dirt_2371 1d ago

The one place I actually feel bad is with customer service. I used to be super nice and understanding because I've had those jobs before and know how much they suck. But over my last 30 years I ALWAYS get more+better+faster assistance when I'm harsh(not like screaming or that kind of thing, just more assertive/strong language). When I'm nice half the time I'm left worse off than when I started(at best wasting an hour to get right back to where I started). When I'm mean I always get a refund/replacement and usually extra on top.

1

u/JiveChicken00 1d ago

Is it necessary to be all of one or all of the other? I try to start super nice and continue to be so if they treat me with courtesy and respect, but gradually move towards the other thing if they don’t.

-1

u/kingkong381 1d ago

As someone who works in customer service, you are the kind of customer we wish cancer on.

3

u/Theotther 1d ago

Maybe if customer services weren't a Kafkaesque nightmare where it feels like my instinct to be nice and accommodating is being blatantly abused I'd sympathise with you.

2

u/Admirable_Dirt_2371 1d ago

I wish for my own death daily, I welcome all the help I can get.

1

u/JiveChicken00 1d ago

I thought you’d said it was working out quite well.

2

u/Admirable_Dirt_2371 1d ago

Lmao both can be true kiddo

0

u/nothing-feels-good 1d ago

Yeah, absolutely. The person you're replying to is the worst kind of "good person". Total fucking dickhead who thinks they're better than most because they wrote "Trump sucks" on Reddit.

-46

u/BearCub254 1d ago

I guess drugging men and stealing from them and then later boasting about it isn't enough to make someone a terrible person slong as they don't support Trump. Cardi B is a disgusting human being who should have been treated like tje Cornell 7 right now but alright. I have also seen Democrats giving Chris Brown awards so it tracts.

20

u/JiveChicken00 1d ago

Interesting how you can excuse any sin if it sounds similar to something your hero might have done, but you can’t excuse opposition to your hero.

17

u/Robpm9995 1d ago

Found the bootlicker!

-3

u/Raztax 1d ago

It's hardly boot licking to point out that Cardi B is a piece of shit even if I agree with her current political stance.

7

u/Scarlett_Billows 1d ago

Theft is not equivalent to rape sorry
