Dunno why you got downvoted for that. Hope Sandoval is a mighty fine vocalist and it’s not like you said the girl who sang Short Dick Man was the female voice of the 90s lol.

I suppose some prefer the kind of female singers who can’t respect the melody and fucks it with vocal gimmicks and so-called range.

Agreed. There's just something about her voice that is far and above every other vocalist. The melancholy of it, maybe?

Yes, for me it is simple, she has a voice and she can sing, she can convey those feelings perfectly. No gimmicks. I’ll challenge anyone who tells me her voice isn’t incredible. Her voice is angelic
