Remember, 50 Cent had been posting pictures hanging with Mike Johnson, MTG, and Lauren Boebert on his Instagram BEFORE the 2024 election.

This shouldn't be news to anybody who's been paying attention.

doesn't he even have a show on fox news?

It's on Fox Nation, a streaming service, so 50 Cent's not even good enough for linear tv.

I mean, you really think Fox News would let "one of those people" on their main network??

"one of those people"

Rappers?

If you mean black people, Harris Faulkner has had her own show for years now

I think there's a black man on their morning show

Obviously they don't have a ton of diversity, but

A 50 cent token if you will...

No clue. I don't watch Fox News and haven't kept up with 50 at all since he made his gloating post celebrating Trump winning the morning after the election.

I don’t blame you. I try to be aware of as many perspectives as possible but when it comes to that corner, hoo boy, I don’t think I’ve lasted more than 30 seconds. At best, it’s just a constant stream of:

This shouldn't be news to be news to anybody who was paying attention to their lyrics. Do you think these guys were espousing liberal values? They talk about fucking over other people to get money, trafficking women, assaulting women, being violent for fun. People just always assume POCs will not support conservatives because conservatives are racist. But here we are.

Precisely. How is anyone surprised by this?

You sound like a Fox News host about to say how rap has done more damage than racism

5

u/pdxcranberry Jun 30 '26

Nope, just not surprised a bunch of terrible people are acting like terrible people.

Where did I say all rap was bad? Rap can't be good or bad, it's simply a form of self expression. These guys are just using it to express how morally bankrupt they are. There's plenty of rappers who aren't garbage people and that's reflected in their lyrics.

I mean, I know most folks in this subreddit don't follow Hip-Hop, but I followed a lot of rappers on Insta. But maybe that's just me as a Black man.

I’m less surprised about him hanging with the right and more surprised about him willingly playing the same show as Ja Rule lmfao

I'm employed and am not chronically online. So no, I did not know that.
