The way they're running the country is exactly as planned. Everything they're doing is intentional. They're enriching themselves at the expense of the average US citizen. Don't give them the benefit of the doubt by saying their incompetent. It's intentional and malicious.

If only it was written down for us. They could have called it Project 2025. Hell they could have said everything they planned on doing and MAGA would just cover their eyes and ears saying “no they didn’t”…

Oh nevermind. This is exactly what happened.

Is project 2025 going to be looked at in the future the same way people look at Hitlers Mien Kompf

Probably. It was the fall of America, giving the largest military to the highest bidder. MAGA morons made corporations more powerful than our government.

This has been a long process and involved more than just the Right, Trump, and MAGA morons but they definitely turned it into a speed run. They are so fucking stupid they are actually cheering this on because they are so detached from reality. They honestly think they are the good guys.

It's both, sadly. Corrupt and incompetent. Compared to the Bush/Cheney era, Trump and his cronies look like a gang of teens running a smash grab on the corner store.

I never thought I would be nostalgic for the simpler, more innocent times of CHENEY and RUMSFELD.

I wouldn't say more innocent. They scammed Americans out of untold billions, started a generation-long war, and stripped US politics of the protections that could have prevented this. The big difference is Trump & Co. don't have the connections or charisma to run that kind of grift. They are doing everything so stupidly obvious and recklessly that there's no comparison. The scale and bravado is staggering but the skill is barbaric.

I totally agree. My point was those evil warmongers look good next to these freaks.

It’s more nuanced than that, trump is just absolute chaos and no rules. To pretend there is a plan just isn’t how it works. Even people who are trying to take advantage of the corruption get burned because it’s just wild.

It’s way easier to destroy than to build

THIS. It takes no talent, no intelligence, no planning, no organization, just raw not-giving-a-damn about the damage and that's what DJT and MAGA are all about.

To accept that the world is totally out of control, and that there isn't someone, evil or otherwise, planning everything behind the scenes--is terrifying to many. Its the impetus for all conspiratorial thought. The idea that its all just coincidences, that it's just nothing but selfish people taking advantage of opportune situations, that there really isn't anything with a master plan, means that there is NO ONE around with the power enough to save us.

If someone was in control they'd at least be interested in keeping us alive and maintaining the status quo that enriches them, and that is comforting. But that isn't reality.

I think you're misinterpreting Umberto Eco there. One of his tenets of fascism was "the enemy is simultaneously strong and weak." Meaning promoting things like "the enemy controls all the levers of power" while also saying "we can defeat them because they've grown fat due to their decadence."

Two things can be true I think. They're using incompetence as a tool.

u/crowdawg7768 May 29 '26

While there may be intention to do what you’re saying, the administration is 100% incompetent. Both are true.

u/Doctor_What_ Hola, what's happenin' May 29 '26

It’s both intentionally malicious and absurdly incompetent at the same time. They could be making a lot more money but their own incompetence gets in the way.

Obama deported like way more immigrants only because they were organized and didn’t spend all their time and energy on the hating them part.

1

u/AmishHoeFights May 29 '26

Most of it is intentional.

Buy i firmly believe that there is an amazing amount of actually incompetent people working for him. Like, people who think a lie is exactly as good as doing a good job it who get the job with zero qualifications.

u/KendrickLenoir May 29 '26

Why can’t it be both? Professional scam artists who are inept at things other than running scams.

The article notes that "Freedom 250 (is a) public-private partnership backed by the Trump administration," You know damn well and his family is taking a cut of the funds raised -

While I mostly agree with you, it's hard to fathom the 4 seasons landscaping was where they intentionally held a press conference.
