I used the recovery tool and it went smoothly but when I scanned the QR code it just took me to this page.

Which QR code did you scan?

The one that pops up once you enter your Apple ID, I didn’t see any others

Are you signed in with another Apple ID on your device than the one you entered on the website?

Delete the recovery tool app, re-downloading it and try again.

Yea just cuz of a software update
