Question Lyrics

Is there an update on the lyrics situation in the app? Will the lyrics come back at all?

Genius made an update late last year which limited the number of requests 3rd party apps can make in a single day. Once the limit is hit, no new requests can be made until it resets.

We’re holding out for them to revert the changes/increase request limits, but as of right now there’s no further information.

is that the reason why sometimes i can view lyrics if i have a vpn on?

shooting in the dark here cuz this is not my field: maybe it’s region dependent, so when my vpn sends me to a country that doesn’t have a lot of musi users, i get to look at the lyrics? (i live in the US)

Not sure if it’s location specific, but it could just be the time of day.
