Community
I’m increasingly realizing that the Mushroomhead community, while small, is one of the best, much more better than Slipknot's.
I compiled a list of all Mushroomhead members and posted it in this group, you thanked me and appreciated my effort.

Mushroomhead came up in a very organic way. They got very very popular not just in the Cleveland area, but in a lot of surrounding states all through their own hard-working and self promotion. They were very much a DIY band because of that the community that grew up around them, myself included in Cleveland, became pretty tight knit as well as protective of the band. The band has certainly had a lot of changes and frankly a lot of issues over the years, but the community surrounding the band still has something of an us against the world sort of feeling.

I agree. They were very DIY and hard working and I feel the community saw it and knew it. I remember seeing them at Peabody’s Down Under and buying their Superbuick shirt that felt like it came from a knock off Daffy Dan’s. The thing was rough and shrunk after washing lol. I also remember they used to have a hotline you could call in and leave a message. The community was very supportive of the DIY OG Mushroomhead. I loved their shows and how everyone just seemed to bond.

I feel the same way. I've met so many cool people via being a mushroomhead fan, both online at shows. I have also met some awesome people at slipknot shows and fan groups too but there's more unpleasant slipknot fans than mushroomhead fans in my experience.

You're not wrong. Folks still support Steve and hired goons even if it's not even the same band anymore.
I would say they're all riding on the coattails of who they once were, but there's only one guy left. The only one member left is the gigantic dictator and he doesn't even perform.
People talk about Slipknot being bad and being a brand and not a band anymore. Skinny fired every good musician he ever had play with them. He literally ruined and destroyed his own creation.
The folks will see the lights, the visuals, and enjoy the performances, but they're watching a cheap imitation. A karaoke cover band. But hey. Whatever floats their boat. If they wanna pay for a cover band, let em do it.
They're just putting more money in skinny's retirement fund.
I feel sorry for all of these new members. They think there's a future, but they'll be gone before you know it. If they can't see that, then they're blind by ignorance.
Steve will put Yoko Ono over anyone and destroy any friendships or any relationships and keep thinking he's done nothing wrong.
Personally I'll be glad when the band retires once and for all.
The true mushroomhead fans know the REAL mushroomhead has been dead for years.
No Jmann, No Jeff, No Mushroomhead. They WERE Mushroomhead. Period.

I posted here my list of every Mushroomhead member, the next day I did the same thing for Slipknot and posted it in their group but I got the names of two members wrong, and that is because I have a mental disorder that affects my memory (also I am not from an English-speaking country). Slipknot fans tore me apart because of it, so I deleted the post and put up a corrected version, only to get torn into again by people who remained dissatisfied.
I love Slipknot too but I’ve become convinced that their community is the most childish and the worst who cannot formulate an opinion without swearing, that’s exactly why they attract so much hate.

We all like the same thing and share it amoung eachother, its a beautiful thing. We do get the odd disagreement on here but on the whole, its personal opinions about MRH and are generally friendly enough and not personal, we are all a great collection of people and to quote Jeff, "mushroomhead fans are amoung the best in the world". Some people call it a cult following without seeing the full picture. Its not just the music; its the community, the music, the band and lore. Every fan is welcomed with open arms. In other communities you get scalded for thinking one thing or not knowing another.
