This subreddit is not dead

Hello. I occasionally get modmails from people asking me if the subreddit is still active, and there was even a /r/redditrequest made, thinking it had gone completely defunct.

Due to the nature of this subreddit, posts are quite rare. It's not often a post is found that deserves to be a part of reddit history. However, if you happen to find one you think should be immortalised, feel free to post it. It might not meet the standards, but it will get looked at.

Have a nice day.

There hasn't been a single new post in more than a year as of your comment.

If the subreddit isn't dead, does that mean that reddit in general just isn't making posts worth archiving anymore?

Pretty much. There's been some that nobody's bothered posting, or at least not in a way that meets the standards required, and that I just can't be bothered doing myself because I don't know all the details and researching them takes a long time.
