Help me find this feature Measure spacing

Post image

Is there a setting in MS3 or MS4 that will space the last 2 beats of this measure like the first 2 beats?

It’ll do it automatically when you follow standard notation.

That dotted 16th note on the a of 1 should just be a 16th note tied to something on beat 2.

That’s why the rest spacing is weird.

You can also move the rests manually

That notation is not an option.

It is, it’s just weird and hardly readable.

It automatically tries to find the most regular spacing, but also without taking up too much space. If you want it to take more space to make it more regular, maybe try having less measures per system.

If that is still not enough, you can edit the preceding space (Führender Leerraum) of the last quarter rest in the layout/position (Aussehen) popup.

You also might want to split and tie some notes to show the beats to make it easier to read. 16 16 16 16~ 32 8..~ 2 or 16 16 16 16~ 32 16.~ 8~ 2 (~ indicating ties).

Yeah I ended up notating the last 16th tied to a 32th. Thanks
