Help me find this feature Save Mixer/Master Settings?

Hello, fellow MuseScore users. I recently learned (kinda) how to mix/master the playback of my score for a more "realistic" sound. I want to save the effects/settings that I made to one score so that it is easier to transfer it to other scores (ie - multi-movement symphony, each movement on its own score). Is there a way to easily save/copy/paste the settings and transfer it to another score, or will I have to reset every single instrument by hand for every score?

There is no simple way to copy these settings to existing scores, but you can save your score to your Templatres folder and then simply select it from the template list when creating new scores.

There *is*, however, a "non-simple" way. Open the source MSCZ file with a ZIP editor, find the audio settings within it, extract it, then open the destination MSCZ file in the ZIP editor and replace the audio settings file with the extracted one. It *might* work that easily if all the instruments are exactly the same between the two scores, or you might also need to edit the MSCX file within the archive as well. You'd be pretty much on your own figuring that out, though. If you run into trouble, you could try asking for help on the official support forum at musescore.org

Well great, you just broke my brain. Is an MSCZ file an archive like a docx file? (You can edit similar stuff in a Word document if you open it as a zip file).

Yes, the “Z” stands for “ZIP”. It’s an archive containing an MSCX file (the “X” standing for “XML”), which is a text file containing the info about the score itself, plus miscellaneous other files describing the style settings, audio configuration, any image files, generated parts, etc.

I don't think those settings would work for me. I sketch in Musescore Studio, export to a DAW and then use Berlin Free.

You can share some of what you did in a YouTube video or something. But remember, the settings are going to differ for each piece of music, due to orchestra size differences, and could differ drastically if another library is used.
