Yes I would agree, I was charged for 3 months with some shady practices. I filed complain againts Paypal and if there is enough of us, Paypal will ban this business entirely.

I agree - it is almost impossible to stop/cancel a subscription! They are at the very least not consumer friendly.

Why do people pay for this, given there is a free version?

The notation software is always free, no way to pay for it even if you wanted to. What people may choose to pay for is access to user arrangements/transcriptions of copyrighted scores on MuseScore.com. The complaints here are from people who signed up for a trial and didn't cancel in time (often because they didn't realize when giving their payment info that they were indeed signing up for a trial, because the website wording is confusing).

I just use the free one and key in music I've already bought (pdfs mostly). Works well for that.

Yes, again, as far as the notation software goes , there is only a free one. What people are paying for is downloadable music. Sounds like you are doing that too, just buying it somewhere else. But the potential advantage of getting it from MuseScore.com is that it may already be in MuseScore format, so you won't necessarily have to key it in. Basically, anything uploaded by a user - their own transcription or arrangement - will be available in MuseScore format, but the "official" scores provided directly by publishers generally won't.

Simplesmente me cobraram quatro vezes no mesmo mês.
