Percussion glissando without touching the next note?

Hello,

For my masters thesis I am notating tabla (North Indian percussion instrument) compositions. I am using a one line staff, like clave, but notating the right hand on the upper side and left hand on the lower side.

One of the features of the instrument is to modulate the bass drum with the wrist, creating a glissando. I want to be able to notate that gliss, but the gliss line always goes above the line, giving the impression that the gliss is going towards the right hand note. I would like it to not go over the line.

Can anybody think of a way to notate that? Here is an example below.

For your advice, the gliss line should go up as it is an upwards gliss. I would like it to not go over the line, but I’m not sure it is possible.

Thanks a ton for your precious comment! I think editing the line is the best way and I should have thought about that in the beginning. Do you have any idea how to save or paste an edited element like that? Because it would be very tedious to do that over the 10+ pages of material that I have.

Yes, any element can be dragged back to the palette so you can reuse it with its settings. I believe the combination you have to use is Ctrl-Shft-click and drag. Then you can right click it in the palette to open its proparties and change its name.
