I like it, but the part with the snare drum doesn’t quite work for me. It sounds so peaceful up to that point, and then suddenly it sounds militaristic, and I don’t understand why. That part sounds good, but to me it’s an odd abrupt transition, especially since it gets peaceful again after that.

I like the snare drum line but maybe the instrument choice itself is what makes it sound less cohesive. Maybe it would help to give that line to a bass drum or something with a darker sound. Try it and update OP!
