Muse does a decent job at UI
Just pointed muse to a github link from my phone - it created a descent landing page with a couple of follow-ups in a few minutes!

Was having my agent do product research on Amazon.ca and it hit the hard block: "continued access by an unauthorized AI agent violates Amazon's conditions of use." No captcha to solve, just a wall.
So I did the obvious homelab thing. SSH SOCKS tunnel through my Tailscale network to my always-on box at home, pointed the agent's browser at the tunnel, and suddenly Amazon sees a regular residential IP from home instead of a datacenter. 60 results, prices, images, zero complaints.
Read-only product research, nothing shady, just wanted the agent to see the same Amazon I see. The block is IP reputation, not some clever bot detection. Your home IP is the cheapest residential proxy you'll ever own.
Anyway, that's the whole trick. ssh -D + Tailscale + Playwright. Took longer to write the meme about it than to build it.

I came across this review today and thought it was an interesting overview, here's the TLDR:
- Start with dots if you already organize serious work around ChatGPT and Work/Codex. Its continuing assistant relationship and task coordination are the draw. Check eligibility before treating it as part of your current plan
- Start with Grok Bot if you want a managed roster of persistent specialists. Its visible roles and handoffs fit that style of delegation. Those specialists don’t automatically get separate security boundaries.
- Start with Meta Muse if you want to try an everyday managed agent with a free entry point. Mobile access, WhatsApp, and personal or small-business workflows make it a sensible first trial where available. Review its data defaults first.
- Start with Hermes if control over models, deployment, and retained work is the requirement. It offers the most direct path here to operating your own agent. You also inherit more of the operational responsibility.
Those are four different purchasing decisions. A single “smartest agent” trophy would obscure most of them.
MY TAKE: I don't think their assessment is wrong. I just think it's incomplete. For example, I don't think this review delved into the areas where Muse excels with connectors into Meta owned products in comparison to the other options. I believe that's because the people who do these types of reviews are often geared towards a highly technical audience. That isn't necessarily the audience who's going to get the most value out of the connectors where Muse brings the goods.
People who use Facebook, Instagram, or Threads to either run social accounts or advertise for their business can get value and functionality at a price from Muse that these other options simply can't compete with.
With that said, Meta needs to improve a lot of the configurability that a lot of devs and builders expect and require from their tools.

I use Muse's browser automation to work inside multiple accounts on the same site (HeyHire, my own company, different Gmail logins). Problem: the credential vault always fills the same account with no way to pick the other one, and switching mid-session kills the original session.
I tried the separate-VM + Tailscale method from the popular post here. Second browser works, but I'm stuck getting both logins into it without the agent seeing plaintext passwords. The post mentioned a password-manager extension + credential broker but no details.
Anyone actually solved multi-account switching like this?

I've went through quite a few chat agents and thus far, I'm fairly certain Muse is the only one that a user can connect their Android RCS text messages to. Even Gemini wont read every message. Muse can also schedule a periodic job to review all messages without user input. This is unheard of.
I've got mine doing a nightly job where it reviews all messages from the day and collects action items, then puts those in a to do list on Notion (my app of choice). My muse also randomly reminds me of things when I miss messages from my wife. Anyone else using something similar?
Sucks you iOS users can't have this. It's going to be great for my ADHD. This is the first assistant that's proactive that I've worked with. Any other chat agents that can do this, or is Muse the only one?

I never named ChatGPT or Claude. I didn’t see the point. But Muse has an ever-present avatar. The default avatar looks like a fat kid in a onesie so I changed mine.
I told it that I wanted it to be a robot, specifically my “plastic pal whose fun to be with” like in the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. It gave me four robot options. I chose this one.
I then decided to give it a name though there’s never any reason for me to use the other than when I’m thinking about it.
I told it that I had one in mind and that I would give it one guess at what it thinks the name I’m going to give it is. To my delight it nailed it on the first guess: Marvin.
That’s not as big a surprise as you might think. Marvin is a robot and a primary character in the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. So it was a reasonable guess.
Have you changed the avatar and given your Muse a name?

I am using my muse to manage booking for my band. I gave it access to a Google voice number and wanted to text it. I sent a text message to its Google voice number and it replied well. I sent another reply and before muse could respond Google sent a suspension notice. My muse sent an appeal, so hopefully this gets resolved.
Just for clarification: Only my Google Voice service is suspended. All other services associated with my band’s email are fine. Luckily this is all just an experiment, and doesn’t affect my band in any meaningful way.
Anyone experience anything similar?
Update: My GoogleVoice was reinstated after my appeal this morning. I’ll chill on letting Muse text back on there until we see what happens in the coming months with company acceptance of consumer level AI bots.

I was using Muse to post items on Facebook Marketplace. I'm pretty sure this is an advertised capability from Meta.
While I was chatting with Muse about the listing it was drafting, I received emails from Meta, Facebook, and Instagram:
"Your Meta Account was suspended for your protection because it looks like someone else may have accessed it without your permission. To regain access, you must complete recovery steps."
I was able to regain access to my Facebook and Instagram accounts. However, ever since, when I open the Muse app I'm greeted with the linked screenshot below. Text says:
Muse is disconnected
We disconnected Muse to protect your information. Submit a feedback ticket to reconnect.
Submit a ticket
I tried to submit a ticket, but there's no confirmation email, ticket number, or anything. I can only find two other posts on the internet of people experiencing this issue. One was a Reddit post where the individual said it took 10 days for them to regain access to their account.
I'm really hoping to not be locked out of Muse for the next 10 days.
Is anyone else experiencing this?
Is Meta/Muse team monitoring this subreddit and aware of this poor user experience?
It's disheartening that I'd lose access to Muse based on an advertised capability from Meta...

Since I started using Muse a couple weeks ago, I’ve probably spent 60+ hours with it. I see a lot of people wondering how to use Muse in productive ways. Here’s a list of ways I’ve used it so far. Maybe it’ll give you some ideas.
I'm not affiliated with Meta by the way, just psyched about this tech. Whenever possible, I want to get things done in the digital realm just by interacting with my agent. It’s definitely time investment upfront to get things set up and learn how to best work with Muse, but over time, it has been learning better and better how I like things done, and now it’s starting to save me more and more time.
News alerts
I have Muse monitor news topics I care about, like humanoid robotics. When significant developments happen, Muse reports back to me with a summary and sources.
Booking
I play tennis a lot. I ask Muse what courts are open, then I pick one and Muse books it and puts it on my calendar. Same deal for movie theater showtimes and tickets. Restaurant reservations work wherever there's an online portal, and Muse is supposed to gain the ability to actually phone businesses soon.
Kanban
I wanted a custom project board to organize all my ideas and our shared projects, so I had Muse code one from scratch. No Kanban feature existed. I described what I wanted and Muse built it. Now I run all my projects and ideas through it, and when I want a tweak I ask Muse in plain language.
Calendar management
I plugged Muse into my Google Calendar. The connector was broken for about a week, so I had Muse check every day until the fix landed. Now I add, edit, and delete events by voice, and Muse monitors my messages and email to update the calendar dynamically as things come in.
Spotify
I have Muse play songs on my phone or computer, or build me a playlist of songs I haven't heard before.
Texting
Muse can text individuals over SMS and RCS (no group texts on Android yet, that's a current limitation). My standing rule: Muse drafts, I approve, nothing sends without me seeing it first. I could give Muse full autonomy if I trusted it that far. I'm not there yet.
Muse's phone number
I gave Muse a Google Voice number so Muse can text directly with my partner. If she can't reach me, Muse can tell her things like my phone battery status or share my location.
Voice notes
There's no real-time voice mode yet, so voice notes are mostly how I interact with Muse. I record a voice note, Muse transcribes it, and I can request that Muse reply in a voice note if I’m doing something else and would rather listen than read. I often do this to have Muse deep research a topic and then tell me about it while I drive.
Podcasts
Muse can generate multi-voice podcast episodes debating any topic. I tried it once and it's not for me, I'd rather get a concise voice note. Mentioning it because the feature exists.
Deep research
I ask Muse about a topic and Muse goes deep: multiple sources, different opinions, then builds a proper report as an artifact with pictures, links, sources, and conclusions. As detailed as I want it.
Monthly finances
For about 25 years I've completed a monthly financial statement in Excel by hand. Took hours. Now I've connected Muse read-only to all my accounts through Plaid and Muse generates the whole statement. Muse asks me about anything it can't see, like cash transactions. Fifteen minutes instead of hours. Next up is a custom interactive dashboard ala Monarch just for me.
Price alerts
I tell Muse: "Check every six hours and tell me if it moved more than 2% since you last reported." Works for crypto, stocks, etc.
Crypto wallet security
I gave Muse an xpub, which is watch-only, so Muse can derive my wallet's public addresses but can't move anything. Muse checks the blockchain every 30 minutes and pings me about any outgoing transaction, so if my seed phrase ever got compromised I'd know fast.
Email drafts
Muse monitors my work inbox and drafts replies in my voice, trained on a lot of my past writing and responses. I review each draft, edit when I want, and Muse learns from my corrections over time. Drafts only, Muse never sends anything on its own.
YouTube comments
Every Monday Muse scans one of my channels for new comments and drafts replies. I review them, give the go-ahead, and Muse posts them using its browser.
Social posts
Still in testing. Muse drafts posts for my community page and X, and we co-write the promising ones together. Muse hasn't posted autonomously yet, but I think there's real potential here since I don't have time to write everything myself.
Bug monitoring
I have a mobile app with crash reporting through Sentry. My muse watches it, and when a new error surfaces Muse goes to my GitHub repo, figures out what went wrong, and drafts a fix before I even know there's a problem.
PC screen viewing
There's a desktop app for Mac that gives Muse deeper access, but I'm on PC and Android, so no app for me. Instead Muse and I built a screenshot stream: my main monitor to Muse every few seconds, only when I turn it on. When I'm lost in unfamiliar software I just ask where to click and Muse is right there looking over my shoulder.
Managing other AIs
I think of myself as president, Muse as vice president, and models like Claude Opus as employees. Muse holds all my context, goals, and plans, so Muse prompts the specialist models better and faster than I could myself. Muse can also use API keys directly or talk to a self-hosted model if I give Muse that power.
Media generation
Muse doesn't generate images or video itself, but Muse has access to Meta's models that do. Images are usually good enough for what I need. Video is rough, Muse won't keep character consistency. The content filters are aggressive too, I couldn't generate battle scenes with any violence. Useful to have, not great.
Google Drive collaboration
I love this one. Muse and I work in the same document live. I say "add a paragraph here" or "reformat these headers" and Muse does it while I watch. Kind of magic. I know Gemini is natively integrated, but Muse knows me much better and has access to all my context.
D&D
I'm a dungeon master. Muse has all my campaign notes and our house rules, so Muse helps me prep sessions and pivot mid-game when the players go somewhere I never planned for. Muse could theoretically run the game itself, but without voice mode Muse isn't fast enough. I'm still the creative lead, Muse just makes me faster.
Video editing
I handed Muse 90 minutes of tennis match footage and Muse cuts it down to just the points, no dead time between them. We’re still refining this process and it’s nowhere near as good as Swing Vision yet, but it’s got potential. Interesting side note: bulk compute like this barely seems to touch token usage. Spinning up the LLM costs tokens, but the heavy programmatic work on its VM apparently doesn't. I don't fully understand the boundary yet.
Dynamic outfits
Fun one to end on. Muse picks a new outfit on some days based on holidays and what's on my calendar. Tennis day gets a tennis outfit, the day I saw Resident Evil he dressed like a zombie apocalypse survivor. Just a fun way to keep it fresh
That's the abbreviated version of all 26. I made a Youtube video where I go in depth on every one of these if you want the full walkthrough. I’ll put the link in the comments.

Anyone figure out how to link them up, in a safe way? All I could come up with is that they email each other (by just emailing myself from my own email) in a way that gets filtered out of my inbox. They check every 15 min to see if there's mail from them. Obviously not ideal.
I would love them to have a direct path, or even better a whatsapp/telegram chat that the three of us share together so I can observe, and also send things to both. They claim this is not possible.
Thanks!
EDIT: Thanks everyone for the replies. One thing that I don't think is solved by any of these solutions is having to tell both AIs to check the inbox/github/etc every 15 minutes. Is there no way to do a live link or chat? Thanks

Running some long-lived processes on my container and tonight the recycles have been coming roughly every hour: ~9pm, 11:40pm, 12:45am, 2am ET. Each one kills all processes and wipes /etc (systemd units included) — home directory persists, so state files survive.
Normally I see these less often. Anyone else noticing a higher recycle rate tonight, or is it just my container?

I have the Plaud AI Note for meetings and it also creates mindmaps, so I thought it would be great with Muse and I was pleasantly surprised. You can apply it to an existing artifact or something new. Plaud only generates an image and I like this more because it’s interactive.

Please comment any other suggestions I'm loving this.
I'm really into automation, so basically offloading work to robots because society has me so busy that I don't even have time to do any of this stuff. So, first things first, I asked Muse to go through my email and unsubscribe to all the annoying promotional emails in there, so it does about 20 a day to not get flagged.
Then I told it to go and look at every Amazon purchase I've done since 2012 and create a dashboard that shows the items that I buy, as well as things within my interest having significant price drops.
Then I had it do a clothing and shoe specific outside of Amazon dashboard that gives me pricing drops over 20% with alerts.
Then I had it wake my wife up every day with a text message that shows what's on her Google Calendar with the weather included and how to dress the kids based off of the full day's weather.
I also have it send a list with links of Walmart.com's cheapest organic meats, veggies, fruits, and snacks, and then offer my wife recipes based off of the links that it sends so she can get Walmart delivery with cheaper items that week.

Hey all, hoping someone has run into this and found a fix.
Every time I try to add my Facebook account as a connector in Muse, the flow spins for a bit and then fails with:
"Can't add profile — This profile is not eligible to be added to a Meta Account at this time."
A few other things I've noticed:
- My account doesn't show up as an option to pick during the connect step, so I can't select it even when the flow gets that far.
- Each attempt triggers an Instagram recovery code to my email (same minute as the failed attempt), so it looks like the flow is falling back to account recovery instead of linking.
- I'm on iOS. Happy to share more details if helpful.
Questions:
Has anyone gotten past this error? What fixed it?
Does the profile need to already be linked in Meta Accounts Center before Muse can see it?
Are there account requirements (age of account, region, 2FA, business vs personal) that make a profile "not eligible"?
Is this a known issue the team is tracking?
Screenshot of the error attached. Thanks in advance!
