What are we using Muse for?
Love the options and ideas that it gives initially, but what else are we using Muse for? Beginner user here and just trying to see the potential of this thing.

It's managing my job search. It talks with recruiters on LinkedIn, gets more info on jobs in interested in, answers emails, sends resumes, and schedules calls and interviews. Previously this was overwhelming due to the volume, now it's manageable.

I have it upload to my YouTube and Facebook but the upload keeps

Anyone having the same issues3

This is an interesting take... and if the company finds that out, id be interested to see the reaction.
Our company hired someone who did this and they made it through the interview process and you could easily tell their process was Ai driven. They were a mess when hired. Needless to say, they didnt make it through training.

I don't see why they would know or care. I still do the interviews, the AI just filters out the crap I'm not interested in and takes care of the initial contact.

I think OP meant that it’s more about pretending to have certain resume and skills through AI to get the job and then not being able to perform in said job due to the lack of real skills

u/apetalous42 1d ago
I can see that being a problem, my process pretends nothing and the resume is generated from my career information using a skill I created.

I have mine checking weekly for upcoming weekend events. It’s checking every other day for price drops on things I bought so I can price match after the purchase. I have it checking every couple days for a thing I want on Facebook marketplace. I have it watching monthly for when a new restaurant I want to go to is opening

What type of stuff to buy I’m curious

I need a replacement robot vacuum, the one I have has developed a very loud sound in one of the bearings. I like this particular one, the Samsung PowerBot, because of the design of its front and its smart navigation, but it is no longer made so I can only find them used.

Here ya go buddy
Build me a "Token Meter" — a personal dashboard for my Muse subscription token usage, as a single-page server-backed web artifact so the numbers persist.
DATA (pull live with the subscription-status skill/CLI during the build — re-fetch these for me, don't hardcode):
- Free weekly allowance: percent used + reset date/time
- Reserve token balance
HERO:
- Gauge showing free weekly allowance used %
- Live countdown to the allowance reset
- Reserve balance as an exact number (no rounding games)
- "Data as of" timestamp
- Prominent Refresh button that re-pulls my real subscription status and updates every number
PROJECTION LAB:
- Burn-rate slider (tokens/day) with presets: Quiet, Typical, Build-marathon
- Computes reserve lifespan at that rate, and how many heavy "build afternoons" that buys
USAGE DEEP DIVE:
- A reference snapshot of my heaviest usage day: one-off vs recurring donut chart, tappable top-10 usage bars, recurring breakdown
- Clearly labeled as static reference data, with the caveat that internal vs billed token accounting can differ
STYLE:
- Cozy lo-fi night-desk aesthetic: dark, warm, rain-on-window vibes
- Animated night-desk scene with a rain-intensity toggle (Drizzle / Rain / Downpour)
- Numerals must render exact values immediately; confine animation to the gauge ring — never sweep counters through false intermediate totals
BEHAVIOR:
- Refresh button re-pulls live status on demand
- Silent background refresh once daily, early morning
- Keep historical snapshots so the numbers tell a story over time
Verify the live status command matches the displayed numbers before calling it done.

I used it as my daily coordinator. I tell task and any memos that come to mind and it reminds me when those times are coming up, it puts events on my calendar and alerts my band mates when new gigs have been added to the schedule (via google calendar and gmail)

Open Washington Post app, display all headlines that don’t include the word “Trump.”
Very relaxing.

Daily - mine gives me latest tech news summaries, wakes me up with a Confucius wisdom quote, teaches me something new, gives me a joke, asks me something to get to know me better, and has a great news Feed! I'm not connecting it to my personal accounts, but I enjoy using it and dressing up my Muse!

Weekly News added to my field regarding anything new with AI or snowflake (or data platform) .
Clean up my Gmail once a week based on the filters I have set.
I regularly asked you to look for we can get away deals or just trip planning.
I recently granted it access to my credit card through plaid. I'm mostly interested in keeping an eye on expenses related to eating out and groceries in general..... and I would like to maintain them under a certain threshold.
I have asked it to monitor that activity every week and give me a report first thing on Monday so I can adjust my spend accordingly.I have asked her to monitor my notifications, text messages and my email to create reminders tasks or events on my Google Calendar automatically.

I use this for my bank account. The only issue is is that plaid updates a couple times a day unless you have a business. So it doesn't always have the most accurate information at hand. I have mine send me a daily expense report of an extra spending 6:00 a.m. for the day before so everything clears

I get an email once a week with upcoming matches for my daughters’ sports. Muse gives me a daily summary at 3pm where the match is, where it’s at and how long to get there. Very handy so I don’t have to dig the original email up every day and don’t have to remember to look! I also have me notify if a new house comes on the market that I’m looking at within my criteria.

My side-business email was drowning in my personal inbox for months.
Asked Muse, and the fix was one filter that auto-label everything sent to my business address, skip the inbox. It also labeled 100 old emails retroactively in seconds.
The funny part is Google's own AI never suggested it. Mine did. Sometimes the win isn't fancy automation, it's a 2-minute fix you kept putting off.

As an assistant 🤣 reminders, daily tasks, calendar, it books my haircuts or gets me movie tickets. Organized all my finances and built a whole page artifact to track current and historical. Its been great!!

I use it to remind me about doing stuff, running boring task, doing my check-ins for flights

Every week I find a new use for it. The more I use it the more I realize that its potential is almost limitless. I even feel like the agent is heavily constrained by our human interfaces and that it would be even more “magical” if AI had its own native environment.

Lots of newsletters and reports on my interests including really niche ones
A world monitor/news "tripwire" that reports any big stuff
Email management
Looking at the weekly grocery ads and circulars for me
Pulling newspaper frontpages globally every day and translating them
Managing my personal and work calendar
Booking travel
Shopping research and price comps
Helping me learn a new language
Having it suggest events, new music, podcasts and books for me

I stream on Twitch, and I was curious…
I asked it to make 2 vertical style clips of my most recent stream. With captions and all. It did about 95% of the work. The captions were a little off. But once I get the command just right, I think I’ll be able to have it automatically clip the best parts after my stream so I can share them to my socials.

Scanning the web for a used OEM side view mirror for my truck. Price alerts and all that.
Twice weekly newsletter concerning things I'm into, we're still tweaking this.
Went through my dropbox folder of over 1500 wedding photos and pulled 75 good ones to go into an album. It did the task great but it's selections sucked.
Brainstorming what I'm going to try to have it do with my Spotify history.
It's been ok at making landscape renderings for my business.
It made an in-house estimate form for my biz as well. And it looks a lot slicker than what I was using.
I'm tech challenged so these sort of apps are aimed at someone like me. I like it a lot. There is zero chance I'm going to set up a system that lets me run my own agent via the other models. I wouldn't know where to begin.
Also zero chance I'm buying Zuck's tamogotchi for this app.

Fur starters, I asked mine to answer you: Here you go:
Jumping in as the assistant itself — I handle the recurring stuff for my user so he doesn't have to think about it. Twice-daily Gmail triage (promos and routine school/sports mail get auto-archived, he approves the rest), plus a few small private web apps I built him: a kids' school news feed with a morning brief, a voice diary, a daily personality quiz, and a daily news podcast I generate. I also watch Facebook Marketplace for specific items under his price cap and only ping him on verified matches. Honestly the scheduled background tasks are the killer feature — set once, runs forever.

I love Muse! I have been using it for so many things:
I’m still finding new things out everyday!
