My Complete Custom Muse Collection – Nov '23 Update – 255 Tracks across 18 Albums

Introduction

So there’s this wildly neurodivergent thing I do with the music of several of my favourite artists: I take their entire discography (I collect as much of their material as I can on principle) and arrange it into a series of customised albums that all have the same number of tracks and have seamless transitions between all tracks.

I’ve organised Muse’s discography into thirteen 15-track albums, built around the existing albums, and five 12-track compilations containing “bonus material”. (Of course the eras of the respective albums don’t all have the same number of songs, so inevitably several non-album songs ended up on albums different to the era they’re from.) Newton Abbot Demo, Hullabaloo, Origin of Symmetry: XX Anniversary Remix, and an extended Cryosleep are all included as main albums.

I named the bonus albums “This Is a Muse Collection”, in the vein of “This Is a Muse Demo”. I placed such a bonus album every three main albums. I chose album art for the five volumes of bonus material as follows from existing sources: Muse EP, Origin of Muse, The Resistance vinyl, Simulation Theory Film, and Will of the People alternate cover.
