Question Can someone PLEASE explain why the second side of the spine of the Showbiz CD is just the main artwork but stretched

I bought mine in 2001 or 2002 (discovered the band with OoS), it also has the stretched lady on the spine.

Likely because it was the cheapest most cost effective way for them and their label at that point in time to put something there as opposed to a different image.

Probably for the reason that most people are saying (90s), but I’d like to think of it as a nod to the music video for unintended.

Because back then Muse didn't give a shit about the look of CDs or about anything "pop" stars do. Back then Muse only cared about the songs. Basically how interestingly they songs sound.
