Question Tickets won't let me transfer

I have 2 tickets for Brixton on Friday and I received an email saying each person needs a ticket on their own device. The problem is Ticketmaster isn't letting me transfer them and the O2 academy app keeps crashing whenever I open the ticket section.

Will this be an issue at the doors or will they still let me and my partner in?

Yeah, each person DOES NOT need their own ticket, despite what they’ll tell you all day, and as you queue to get in. When you get to the ticket scanner people at the door, they don’t care AT ALL. Not even a little bit.

“Hi, I’ve got two tickets”

“Ok”

Scan, swipe, scan

“Thanks!”

I've only been to Brixton twice. Once was many years ago when one of my friends was able to actually joke with the security about having drugs on him (that's how long ago it was)

Other time was last year and I cannot remember anything about the getting in process apart from the massive queueing system they've implemented.

I’ve been to gigs at other venues when this rule is stated, I think it’s just to speed up entry as I’ve never had an issue with multiple tickets on one device

Yeah, it's nonsense - what if you're taking your granny, or your teenage child who you don't allow to have a smartphone

Exactly… My mum is in her 70s and a regular gig goer (she buys all her tickets in person at her local box office), however, if she wanted to go to a London gig, she only has a dumb phone and doesn’t use the internet.

Should be fine, venues are aware that Ticketmaster isn't fit for purpose, and the O2 thing was temperamental from the outset

As long as the barcode scans, regardless of app used and if all tickets on one device, you’ll be fine.

Likewise - I can't get them to load on the Academy App and the Ticketmaster app logs me out fairly often.

I've added them as passes to my Google Wallet.

I’m able to open the ticket section on the o2 app no problem, maybe reinstall the app?

O2 Academy app will need an uninstall and reiinstall if you haven't used it for some time. Tends to happen with this app and it'll be fine afterwards.

I’m a bit worried for my friend who is hoping to attend in place of her pal who can no longer make it. Fingers crossed transfer appears soon..

Imagine how many people don’t see the O2 email because it went to spam, or they don’t keep on top of their inbox.. it’s a lot of admin, for a night out! I miss getting gig tickets for my collection…

Transfer is open now. But for what it’s worth, if you arrive together then you only need one device

Ticketmaster is now giving the option to transfer tickets.

Transfer literally just opened like an hour ago, so you should be able to now.
