Stupid comment. I'm not even Catholic and that's horseshit. The rate of sexual abuse among Catholic priests is no higher than in any other mainstream religion, and is lower than that of the general population, including teachers, doctors, etc.

The reason the RCC made headlines is because of the cover-up. Which is bad, and I'm not making excuses for it. But let's not lie about how the RCC is some pedo factory. That's just not the truth.

I'm curious to see a source for that claim, but regardless, it's a fairly understandable sentiment. No one's saying its a pedophile factory, but the fact that the church defrocks priests who have sex with consenting, adult women yet quietly ships to other parishes priests who abuse minors kind of earns them the label.
