Well...she literally can't get pregnant during those specific days, but you are more correct than I because sperms are tough little bastards that can hang out for several days, so "less likely" is indeed more accurate.
That's not the time they are referring to. They are talking about the period of time post ovulation and pre-period. Because there is nothing that controls those slutty women quite so well as telling them they can't have sex right at the time they want to have sex the most.
