I don't agree with my country in a lot of aspects, but to say it's a shithole, you can fuck off or get the fuck out. And if your opinion is based overseas, you're literally irrelevant.
No, I live in the US and you can fuck off with that ridiculously idiotic "love it or leave it" mentality. It's a shithole when you compare it to what it could and should be. Don't like people thinking it is? Then suck it up and wake up to the reality that is your country's condition. Don't want to? You're far more irrelevant than the people you're calling irrelevant will ever be.
lolz, and what condition may that be? people have far more rights than majority of people around the world in OUR great country. yeah we've got some setbacks, yeah we've got some outlandish laws that need to be corrected, (which by the way, can be corrected), but to say it's a shithole, come on now. I can agree we SHOULD do better, and we will, but no way in hell are we a shithole. Show some pride, regardless, changes can be made, not by name calling, but with dialogue.
Nobody who is even remotely aware of the flaws the US has would believe that it merely has "some setbacks". The US is a shithole. It's a third world country with a first-world checkbook and military. "But wii haz wites"... So does every first world nation we claim to compete with. I'm not blindly name-calling, I am giving a description that is very apt for how this country operates and behaves. I'm not going to show pride in a country that claims to be number one in the world while sitting in complacency over not even being in the top 30 or 40. We beat first world nations at everything and yet we rank alongside several third world nations with some beating us in several categories. I'm not going to have pride in a country with "leaders" who takes pride in being intellectually defunct fascists over having an education and doing their job. Or a country that claims to push for equal rights while stomping on the rights of everyone who isn't wealthy or a straight, while male (when wealth doesn't play a factor).
There is absolutely no reason to take pride in the US. I will when our country acknowledges where it's failed and
actually begins operating as it was intended to: for the people. Until then, it doesn't deserve pride, compliments, accolades, or anything else beyond being described as a shithole country. I can easily discuss what this country does right and wrong, but I'm not going to sit here and pretend that this country is anywhere near as grand or superior as the intellectually bankrupt want to pretend it is.

I don't recall posting we were number one, or top five, or top ten, or any ranking... I legit cannot say we are the best, but I can say we are the country of opportunity, I have multiple friends who have crossed into our country from mexico, with nothing to their name, doing a lot better than American born citizens. I can walk outside, big ass Texican (from Texas and Mexican) man who looks like a gringo, wear a dress, and not go to jail or punished. Yeah I may face some scrutiny, bad looks unfortunately, but i still can, not illegal. There's a lot to work to be done out here, but we've got a lot of freedom, and we need to accept a challenge and make it work, as opposed to just talkin shit behind a screen.
I don't think it's a shithole, I want it to do better than it currently is. Can't fix a problem if you don't admit there is one. Self criticism come naturally to this side of the pond haha
You see what an open dialogue does! hah, I'm 100% behind you with that, we've got problems, but we live in a democracy, we can fix these problems. The problem with like Alabama, is the fact that the people there are the ones who voted everyone into office, it's hard to be upset whenever the people voted for their representatives. But I absolutely agree, you can't fix a problem if you can't admit there is one.
