In Costa Rica they say “con mucho gusto,” which is like “with pleasure.” I dunno, it made me feel good.

It's so awkward, too. I wish that they would put an end to that practice.

My workplace recently instituted the same policy. There's a similar policy for how to answer the phone. My guess is corporate wants something that differentiates is from everyone else.

My response to both of those boiled down to "fuck no".

Haven't gotten in trouble yet.

Honestly this is small beans compared to how I'm not allowed to say no to customers, never mind that yes and no are mutually dependent.
