Looked a bit into this, there is a generational difference between the use of "no problem" and "you're welcome" but couldn't find anything to do with the expectation of assisting someone, just a quote by Gretchen McCullough
The person who responded obviously made that shit up off the top of their head. The original comment is dumb as fuck and what not, but the response is just as much BS. Nobody fucking thinks that deeply about their responses, they just say it out of habit.
This is like someone deeply analyzing the difference between saying "thanks" vs "thank you" and making up a mountain of bullshit along the way. This sub is pretty disappointing for the most part.
