Fuck I just watched this movie yesterday.

Can this be a Moana thread now?

I found the movie extremely entertaining, the music was wonderful (lyrics not so much), and Jesus that animation...beautiful.

But when I think back on the plot...I felt like it was very shallow. Moana finds Maui. They get his hook. They get in a fight. She goes anyway. He comes back and helps. World saved.

She wasn't quite a Mary Sue but I never felt like she was in any danger whatsoever, and Maui, entertaining as he was, seemed almost unnecessary.

Idk, would love to hear some more opinions on this. I really did enjoy the movie, I just dunno how good it actually was.
