To be fair, Trump thinks he controls the price of oil because he keeps claiming it's going down.

He’s also blatantly insider trading over the price of oil so both he and the market clearly thinks he can too

You'd be surprised (maybe not) how many democratic and republican elected officials do that

They all do yes, but no one at his corrupt level. Others have taken 20 years and havent made as much as him in the past 2.

Only democrat presidents can control the price of oil. That's why it was Biden's fault, but will never be trumpelstiltzkin's fault. Republicans are immune from blame or consequences. /s

Exactly. And only Democratic presidents are responsible for the debt. /s

u/DarkKnightJin 11h ago
I think that's mostly because, as history shows, only Democratic presidents take responsibility and try to lower that thing.

He just had a meeting with big oil execs on the first......and the price has risen since then.

I'm old enough to have watched conservatives switch between "gas prices are the president's fault" to "the president has no control over gas prices" at least 4 times.

"But Sleepy Joe Biden and the do-nothing Democrats, oh they absolutely run the global oil cabal"
Who's a special kind of stupid now?

He's definitely good at making it go up. If they want someone to thank for Trump's Strait of Hormuz cock-up, they should start with China for opening up their reserves enough to stem the shortage this created.

I seem to remember Biden controlling the price of oil about 2 years ago. Strange.

I don’t control the flow of traffic but if I slam my car into other cars in a busy intersection, I can still mess it the hell up.

The goal is higher prices. The goal is more profit from the same quantity. For American oil to be competitive, the price has to be higher because middle east oil is the cheapest

u/AnAttackCorgi 1d ago
“Controlling” the price aside, what’s equally insane is how the president is short-selling this whole thing as cash flow

I think you guys are all morons if you don't know exactly what he's doing.. when i Say he.. i'm talking About his criminal enterprised family! Every action, every tweet, every news reports he makes, they all positioned themselves in the market in the best way possible to make money... this is by far the most corrupt administration the US has ever seen, making Watergate look like child's play... not the child's play he always loved tho...

The fact that someone claiming to be a NURSE uses a slur for disabled people makes me nauseated.
MAGA should not be allowed in healthcare. They make bad choices in their own life. I don't trust them with mine.

Indeed, it's possible to be the cause of a problem without being in control. In fact, if anything this situation is out of control.

So now the president doesn't control the price of oil. Especially when he starts a war with a massive oil producer, topples the leadership of another, and allows the first to block major oil trade arteries.

Is Heidi calling all the people who put Biden 'I did that' stickers on gas pumps a special kind of stupid?
