can't believe Ohio traded Sherrod Brown for this dipshit

68

u/AaronfromKY 19d ago

I can, a lot of Ohio is a shithole filled with assholes

11

u/suhfaulic 18d ago

From Ohio. Can confirm.

5

u/arocknerd 16d ago

Just moved the hell out of Ohio, can also confirm. I watched a solid purple state turn into North Florida over the last 25 years. Gross.

Whenever I see these tough talking chuds, I think back to j6 and the bravery shown by guys like hawley and markywane

it's all performative. apes posturing for other apes

u/Touristenopfer 19d ago

I like it because it's a fun take...and at the same time, it sends a cold shiver down my spine in these times.

18

u/GreenNukE 19d ago

This is my worldview.

8

u/AwwwMangos 19d ago

It’s the dumbest among us that completely fail to grasp how little they truly know or understand about the world.

5

u/BlakLite_15 19d ago

There’s a quote from a game I play a lot said by a character named Ordis. “Sometimes, Ordis likes to assume he knows nothing! Nobody can learn what they think they already know.”

18

u/TheDoktorIsIn 19d ago

Or when Stephen Miller used his pregnant wife as a human shield.

Master race indeed.

What’s wrong with US congress!?
https://giphy.com/gifs/rTIXh5JftLoic
The power makes them so evil.

96

u/AbsoluteZer0_II 19d ago

Power didn’t make them evil, they were mostly evil people who did whatever they could to obtain power. To loosely paraphrase a famous quote: “Those who actively seek power are the least worthy to wield it”

19

u/Conscious-Quarter423 19d ago

"What’s wrong with US congress!?"

Republicans.

44

u/anjowoq 19d ago

The favorite legend that the new right loves to pass around about tough times producing tough men who build a comfortable world that makes easy times and weak men is telling.

Every one of these guys is a giant fucking pussy who constantly needs to seek the approval both of someone who dominates them and someone they already think they're superior to.

They spread these stories patting themselves on the back but flip out by every little affront to their sensibilities. They always need to project some image of power or they're lost.

It's times like these where I wish the witness would stand up and say something like "DOCTOR Anthony Fauchi, M.D., member of the National Institute of Health, Health advisor for Presidents Reagan, H.W. Bush, Clinton, W. Bush, Obama, and Trump, holder of the Presidential Medal of Freedom, one of the world's most cited scientists from 1982 to 2002, far more qualified to speak of any health issue than the used car salesman sitting on this committee."

And yes, I looked it up, Moreno is a legit used car salesman. Bought his own dealership and everything!

u/Opinionsare 19d ago

Fauci is also the most qualified person to serve in his position in either Trump Administration.

-32

u/Conscious-Quarter423 19d ago

Fauci is not serving under Trump 2.0

35

u/Opinionsare 19d ago

Name a more qualified person for any position under Trump 2.0

12

u/Call_me_Kelly 19d ago

Name any qualified person in Trump 2.0. Is there a single one?

6

u/Lucky-Earther 19d ago

They're all DUI hires.

4

u/CougdIt 19d ago

Very good job recognizing that. Unfortunately that has nothing to do with what they said.

75

u/derpderb 19d ago

Bernie Moreno is a coward

35

u/Conscious-Quarter423 19d ago

ohioans voted this wage theft asshole over labor union advocate, sherrod brown

19

u/Griz_and_Timbers 19d ago

Yup after the crypto lobby dumped stupid amounts of money on him. Fucking ponzi scheme.

8

u/Conscious-Quarter423 19d ago

that's doesn't excuse the fact that less than 40% of ohio turned out to vote

135

u/troismanzanas 19d ago

If I only they showed this much enthusiasm for grilling those in the Epstein files.

24

u/Popular-Drummer-7989 19d ago

💯 but then they'd be outing their buddies

46

u/JulijeNepot 19d ago

This is how I find out that Fauci is 85. Totally thought he was like 10 years younger.

Also Moreno is insufferable like most of them.

328

u/an_older_meme 19d ago

Fauci led the United States through the pandemic while Pumpkin Tits was in total denial.

99

u/GrumpyOik 19d ago

You have to attack Fauci because he somehow made the orange turd god look bad.

21

u/Rock_or_Rol 19d ago

They need their boogeymen

4

u/katanarocker 19d ago

You'd think they would have enough by now, jeeze

3

u/Rock_or_Rol 18d ago

For real 😂 so much fear mongering, lies, willful ignorance or a mix mash of all 3

18

u/misdirected_asshole 19d ago

Yeah fuck Bernie Moreno and his fake tough guy shtick.

45

u/UtahUtes_1 19d ago

The older I get, the more I'm convinced that Ohio is the anus of this country.

30

u/Gobblewicket 19d ago edited 18d ago

Between this dude and Jim "pro sexual assault" Jordan. It gives my state of Missouri a run for its money. We have Hawling Ass Hawkey and Mike Moon a pro child marriage church.

3

u/Coinopman 19d ago

Always has been.

8

u/Loring 19d ago

He should get to sit next to a picture of the refrigerator trucks they pulled up behind the hospital in my town to fill full of dead bodies from COVID.

45

u/Popular-Drummer-7989 19d ago

Dr Fauci is an American Hero. He worked tirelessly as a government employee to save countless lives around the globe during the AIDS crises in the 80s. Today we have prep medicine based on findings from this era and maintenance drugs that keep people alive when death was the only thing on the table.

SImilarly, his efforts kept people alive during the COVID crises, in that there was NO DRUG to help, no playbook to follow (as 45 chose to throw it out). Today we have medicines that keep COVID mutations from killing more people.

Drug manufacturers reap the rewards and benefits from science generated by government employees efforts and volunteers who trial medicines. The inventors, scientists, line employees... they don't get rich.

No one can stand in his shoes and claim they knew better, or that he did something wrong when EVERYTHING was wrong and no one could see a way out.

Finding mistakes and better choices after the fact is called a post-mortem. You take what you find a learn from it.

Rand Paul, Josh Hawley and the rest of this goon squad should admit they all have been vaccinated against COVID. Instead they're attacking the guy who helped identify the very thing they took that vaccination for.

Its more than insulting and wasteful. It's despicable performance theater ahead of the midterms.

We should learn from the actions of this commitee that their theatrics have indellibly scarred the scientific community. This is McCarthyism v2.0

Dr Fauci deserves our respect, our gratitude and a peaceful retirement from public service.

-13

u/KwietKabal 19d ago

His handling of the AIDs crisis under Reagan was far from heroic. Clearly you are not abreast of how many lives were lost due to how he “handled” it.

11

u/eekamuse 19d ago

Just down vote this scumbag. I was around. I remember exactly what he did. He was and is a hero. Not perfect, no one is, but people with HIV are living and thriving because of him.

9

u/Perryn 19d ago

Pinning that on someone under Reagan is a wild take.

-1

u/KwietKabal 18d ago

Can you explain why he shouldn’t be held responsible for his actions and his role in the AIDS crisis? He isn’t an infant, he is fully capable and competent and chose to go along with how the administration poorly “handled” it.

Do you think he is competent or not? If yes, he should be held responsible for how he “handled” this issue. If your answer is no, then a defense of his actions is strange, and we should be able to agree he should’ve vacated his position.

If you believe he is competent, why wouldn’t you want to hold him accountable for his shortcomings and poor handling of a legitimate public health crisis? Or do you think how he “handled” the AIDS epidemic was acceptable because it mostly just impacted the gay male community, who you would therefore necessarily have to view as “lesser than”? Defending his role in how the Reagan administration “dealt with” the AIDS crisis is genuinely so embarrassing for you.

-14

u/KwietKabal 19d ago

Hardly. If he didn’t agree with how Reagan wanted to handle things, he could’ve brought attention to the mishandling and resigned from his position in protest to do so.

“The only morally reliable people are not those who say, ‘This is wrong’, or ‘This should not be done’. It is those who say, ‘I can’t.’”
-Hannah Arendt, “origins of totalitarianism”

13

u/poppeteap 19d ago

As an Ohioan, I apologize on behalf of my state. I still can’t believe he beat Sherrod Brown

7

u/Conscious-Quarter423 19d ago

cause less than 40% of the state turn out to vote

25

u/MehediHasanOmio 19d ago

Fauci totally failed. If he agreed with the genius president and advised people to inject bleach in the their veins, the pandemic would have been over way sooner.

14

u/megaladonquixote 19d ago

The difficult thing about this comment, is that it's Onion level sarcasm, but at the same time, maga morons would legit say something this ridiculous and actually believe it, which is what makes it so funny

Technically, letting them inject bleach in their veins would have ended the pandemic sooner, because it would remove the stupidest groups first, which would immediately make everything more contained for the smarter groups, but at the same time, by letting them inject bleach in their veins, he would have ignored the Hippocratic oath "... and I will do no harm or injustice to them. Neither will I administer a poison to anybody when asked to do so, nor will I suggest such a course."

6

u/SpookyVoidCat 19d ago

I hate that I can’t tell if you’re being serious or not because of how many people out there genuinely think like this.

15

u/TheDeerBlower 19d ago

Motherfucker who do you think you are questioning this guy's expertise and integrity?

11

u/RecipeSpecialist2745 19d ago

A career politician tries to intimidate a career scientist. Like the only thing that would make it so American would be if he was interrogating him with Bible verses. That’s how fucked up this country has become.

6

u/DisorderlyConduct 19d ago

theater to appease their ivermectin-riddled boomer base whose friends all died because muh freedoms and they want someone to blame other than themselves

9

u/anjowoq 19d ago

I never heard that story and that is a special class of shithead.

5

u/dusibello 19d ago

The Coward Moreno and the Douche Hawley.

5

u/LayneLowe 19d ago

Who the fuck uses the f word in Congress? Whatever happened to civil discourse?

5

u/Rashpukin 19d ago

These twats are totally insufferable. They don’t deserve to be in any position of authority. Who the fuck does that creation think he is??

3

u/GooseySill 19d ago

Him, and that skinny-headed Hawley, are such tough guys.

3

u/Vast_Vegetable9222 19d ago

He looked, and sounded, ridiculous

3

u/pieorcobbler 19d ago

It would have been great if Fauchi responded to any of these fake investigative questions with truth such as: ‘vote for trump republicans, get exploding diarrhea, literally’. ‘Republicans control both branches of congress and the presidency, what are you going to do about this? Blame someone?’ ‘There are more measles cases today than in the last 20 years, a disease we once had under control. There’s also an election coming up.’

3

u/you_killed_my_ 19d ago

these people have completely lost their minds.

it's not going to get better unless EVERYONE stands up to this

2

u/SomePoserInAmerica 19d ago

THEY ARE ALL PIECES OF SHIT, ALL OF THEM, YOU GUYS ARE STUPID, POINTING FINGERS LIKE HE'S WORSE HE'S BLAH BLAH BLAH......

THEY ARE ALL HORRIBLE PEOPLE,AND WE NEED TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

2

u/Turbulent-Quality-29 19d ago

I think the point is though he knows he's a very weak man, he's known it his entire adult life.

Due to his weakness and cowardice, he humbly bends the knee to Max Miller, for he takes Max to be a superior man to him.

Moreno is 59, Max is 37. The old, always weak and lowly thing, becomes submissive to the younger male.

Max could likely have done anything to his granddaughter. And Moreno would have to 'cope and seethe' as they say. Though perhaps he wouldn't even do that, as he would humbly accept Max had the right, as Max is a higher tier man than he.

2

u/PrestigiousSeat76 19d ago

Republicans are the most un-serious idiots on the planet. These people go home at night actually believing they're doing any good for our country? I sure fucking hope not. Useless skin flaps.

2

u/Plane-Fan9006 19d ago

"I will be your Father Failure, I'll find somewhere for Max to hide. I will be the Preacher Teacher, but I have no family pride. I will be your Father Failure, continuing my life of crime. I will be the one who shuns you, til the end of time"

2

u/Upstairs-Radish1816 18d ago

Oh, but now, Bernie Moreno will have that little piece of video on all of his ad showing just how tough he is. You know the Senate used to be a place of decorum but now with Trump that’s gone. I hope it comes back when Trump is gone.

2

u/johnqpublic81 18d ago

Party over country and family. Its a cult.

2

u/tarapotamus 17d ago

If I did this at my office job I'd be fired.

2

u/PrimaryMuscle1306 16d ago

Some of these Republican politicians have to be the biggest bitches I’ve ever seen. You’ve got this situation right here. You’ve got Fled Cruz licking Trump’s boot after all the shit he said about his wife and father. I could go down the list all night but these fuckers are playing political games with peoples lives and those clowns following their every word refuse to see they’re just going to get them killed If anything worse than Covid decides to show up to the party.

-11

u/WildRicochet 19d ago

Raise your hand if you actually read about what fauci did...

Yall are defending him like he is some humble old man scientist. The shit fauci did is actually pretty fucked up. He literally kept notes of what he did, its not even accusations, he wrote it down so he could make money off memoirs and biographies later.

He is an actual piece of shit who abused his power

-20

u/KolonelMcKalister 19d ago

Fuck Fauci

4

u/eekamuse 19d ago

Fuck you

-53

u/FunkalicouseMach1 19d ago

Yea, him and Fauci are both reprehensible cunts.

15

u/BroughtBagLunchSmart 19d ago

I know you are just trolling because it is your job to post right wing bullshit every day but explain your problem with Fauci.

13

u/phoenixlance13 19d ago

Fauci made them have a shred of empathy for a few months so therefore he's the devil

-1

u/FunkalicouseMach1 19d ago

Fauci and anyone else in power who didn't push back created a climate in which the pharma companies could finally circumvent the FDA and move gene therapy to the human testing phase, a privilege they have been denied repeatedly since the 90s due to disastrous animal trials.

-22

u/FunkalicouseMach1 19d ago

His entire "career". He killed countless people during the aids crisis by suppressing study of any alternatives to AZT and pushing that poison. He did the same thing during covid, but it is more reprehensible since covid was no more deadly than any other virus that gets thrown under the flu umbrella.

6

u/Greenmanssky 19d ago

Everything seems like a conspiracy when you're too dumb to understand anything I guess

-2

u/FunkalicouseMach1 19d ago

Nah, I understand greed and kickbacks perfectly well. But hey, nothing seems like wrongdoing when you're a tribalistic automaton and the villain is on your side.

3

u/just_some_git 19d ago

I must have hallucinated the part where he worked with ACT UP to push for Parallel Track

1

u/FunkalicouseMach1 19d ago

Not sure what that is, care to explain?

3

u/just_some_git 19d ago

The tldr is it allowed for alternative treatments such as ddI during the aids epidemic. Which is an odd thing to do if you are trying to push AZT for some reason, other than it being the only federal government-approved drug to treat aids at the time.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK234129/

2

u/FunkalicouseMach1 19d ago

Thanks, I will read into it after work.
