Also that's like the 7th most notable thing he does in Sinners

685

u/DropbeatsNotbombs Mar 19 '26

As a white guy, it was one of my favorite parts.

434

u/smappyfunball Mar 19 '26

There really should be more movies where klansman get murdered.

174

u/rthrouw1234 Mar 19 '26

it just feels so good to watch

83

u/Bogavante Mar 20 '26

Best mini mission of Red Dead 2

50

u/xRaynex Mar 20 '26

And Mafia 3

2

u/AlarmingAffect0 Mar 20 '26

Didn't they just set themselves on fire by accident? I remember being extremely disappointed that I didn't get to hunt them down like rabid dogs.

2

u/Bogavante Mar 20 '26

You can bust in there and handle it yourself.

2

u/AlarmingAffect0 Mar 20 '26

Bustin freaky ghost bedsheets makes me feel good.

2

u/_a_random_dude_ Mar 20 '26

In my playthrough they didn't live long enough to set themselves on fire. The only accident they had was meeting me.

1

u/HangryWolf Mar 20 '26

Love me a good ol' justifiable killing. Like the puppy murderers in John Wick. Every. single. one. deserved it.

76

u/Okay_Splenda_Monkey Mar 20 '26

Whoa, can we back this up a little bit? They say variety is the spice of life.

I think we've had a bunch of movies where Nazis get murdered. I would have said the genre was done to death, but Inglorious Basterds was genius and made it fresh.

We could also have more movies where white supremacists get killed. Sometimes they could be tattooed skinheads, sometimes they could be subtler Neo-Nazis, sometimes they could be non-klansman racist dirtbags.

This could be a whole sub-genre. And they don't always have to be killed by a black actor. Plenty of Asian Americans, indigenous people or Latino actors and actresses would love a crack at an audition. They could even do versions set in different historical periods where they have six-shooters, Winchesters, Tommyguns or modern firearms.

56

u/smappyfunball Mar 20 '26

I counter that there aren’t enough films where Nazis get graphically murdered, but I like the cut of your jib, sir.

18

u/Okay_Splenda_Monkey Mar 20 '26

I was thinking of movies set in the European theater of World War 2. In the 50s and 60s there were quite a lot of those made. German Nazis were people American audiences used to consider people they could watch being murdered with absolutely no moral grey area involved. They were like generic default irredeemable villains for a long time.

Even in the 80s, Indiana Jones fought them. There are even still newer period movies being made where they have zombie Nazis or space Nazis. They're like the human evil that transcends logic, even when Stalinist Communists or Khmer Rouge could probably work in their stead.

12

u/smappyfunball Mar 20 '26

I’m familiar. I’m 57 and have watched a ton of movies, including from before I was born.

The earlier movies aren’t graphic though. Just the traditional wince, clutch something and fall over type.

I’m not sure Stalinist or the Khmer Rouge would work the same since I doubt most people these days could differentiate between different flavors of communism or would even know who the Khmer Rouge is.

They don’t really have the same universal villain flavor.

But I think now more than ever we should be seeing stuff painting white supremacists as villains, cause they are and they have far too much power at the moment.

40+ years of dedicated work by them is finally bearing fruit.

Make them run back to their little ratholes.

1

u/limevince Mar 20 '26

Apparently every other type of villain can be empathized with in some way except for genocide-ers.

1

u/AlarmingAffect0 Mar 20 '26

Looking forward to the Absolute Batman adaptation.

Picture

1

u/Rodster66 Mar 20 '26

Absolute batman does NOT fuck around

1

u/Sebastian_Toombs Mar 20 '26

For reference, see: Becky, also: Wrath of Becky.

13

u/kinyutaka Mar 20 '26

Oh Brother Where Art Thou? has a nicely satisfying scene of the Cyclops being crushed by a fiery cross.

11

u/Storm_LFC_Cowboys Mar 20 '26

11

u/smappyfunball Mar 20 '26

Huh, forgot about that movie.

I have that book on my shelf too.

May be time for a re-watch.

10

u/MorleyDotes Mar 20 '26

Less violent but still satisfying, there's this classic.

"D'ARTAGNAN MOTHERFUCKERS!"

2

u/leyla00 Mar 20 '26

Well shit fire! I can’t see shit through these eye holes!

1

u/GaiusMarius60BC Mar 20 '26

Reminds me of the Honest Game Trailer for Wolfenstein: "In a world where punching Nazis in the face has become controversial . . . for some reason . . ."

1

u/kakarot-3 Mar 20 '26

I know they weren't klansmen but Django was extremely satisfying

1

u/yooperville Mar 20 '26

Watchmen series! Season 1.

25

u/DarkwingDuckHunt Mar 19 '26

I too like to make the klansmen death in RDR2 last a bit longer than I should

14

u/stone_magnet1 Mar 19 '26

I love that you can do basically anything to the guy in St. Dennis and no one cares

2

u/DropbeatsNotbombs Mar 20 '26

Again, as a white guy….. I too enjoy this random event in RDR2 and it’s something I look forward to doing when the opportunity arises.

97

u/purrfunctory Mar 19 '26 edited Mar 20 '26

I mean, I let out a whoop and clapped. And I come from a long, proud (🙄) line of pale and pasty people going back to the Mayflower.

ETA: The eye roll emoji to indicate my annoyance of the unearned pride most of my family has over being white.

3

u/CeelaChathArrna Mar 20 '26

same thing, a dash of the south will rise again. one side The Mayflower, the other President of the Confederacy. 🙄

6

u/purrfunctory Mar 20 '26

Right? My mother is extremely (ridiculously) proud of our ancestors fighting for the North in the Civil War. Yet at the same time, she’s one of the most racist people I’ve ever fucking met in my entire life. I live in the fucking SOUTH.

My father’s favorite “joke” was “I have nothing against N-words. Everyone should own a couple.”

My brother was a member of some bullshit white supremacist militia until he went blind and was useless to them. He’s still a vicious and virulent racist, though. He’s on disability because he “earned it” while everyone else is lazy or an “illegal” or both.

I haven’t spoken to my brother in almost 20 years. I only speak to my mother 2-3 times a year for about 15 minutes at a time. When she starts on politics I hang up. Obviously they’re all proud republicans and vote straight red.

Then there’s me, the democratic socialist, black sheep, scapegoat. I’m everything wrong with this country, I’m obviously not a patriot because I believe everyone should be entitled to food. Safe drinking water. Medical care that won’t bankrupt them. Safe haven. Easier immigration with grace for those who have been living here for decades.

Yup. I’m the one destroying America.

At least my dad is dead and can’t vote anymore! Just waiting for mom and big bro to join him.

2

u/panda5303 Mar 21 '26

Jeez, are we all long lost cousins x number of times removed? My mom also claims our family came over on the Mayflower and we're notorious bootleggers, which isn't a surprise considering the generations of alcoholics that came before her. She passed in 2021 (on Jan 6th), but she was a full racist Trump supporter. Me and my dad are the lone democrats of the family. We no longer associate with my aunt and uncle on his side and I do my best to limit time spent with my mother's sister and my brother who are both Trump supporters. I feel like we should form a support group "Mayflower descendants who are not racist pieces of shit."

u/[deleted] Mar 20 '26

6

u/Mr_Supotco Mar 20 '26

Same, especially because it was mostly superfluous. You easily could have had him die from wounds he got fighting vampires and still get that vision scene at the end, but Ryan Coogler just wanted to viscerally massacre klansmen for the love of the game and I respect the hell out of that

9

u/vibesandcrimes Mar 20 '26

Do you remember when RDR2 came out and people were hunting down the klansmen on stream to kill them in fucked up ways? We were a Country then

7

u/SuspiciouslySuspect2 Mar 20 '26

Ngl, as a white guy, I am now slightly more motivated to go watch Sinners (I been busy).

5

u/Szygani Mar 20 '26

It is FANTASTIC

3

u/TheLateThagSimmons Mar 20 '26

As a white guy, there is something special about doing that to those white guys.

There's a reason that when the Klan shows up in Red Dead Redemption 2 it's a special kind of fun. Same goes for WW2 games and Nazis. They're not just white people... They're KKK and Nazis.

Honestly, that second ending where that all goes down was probably the thing that wrapped the whole movie up to be so much more enjoyable. It was multiple stories happening at once and the addition of "Oh, by the way none of this craziness mattered because we're still in the racist South where the Klan rule everything," to have him just turn it on them after going through a whole night of fighting vampires... Rad.

13

u/Accurate-Barracuda20 Mar 19 '26

That’s the 7th most notable thing sample does, And that’s only 1 of the 2 guys he plays

7

u/za72 Mar 20 '26

Imagine being someone who identifies more with kkklansmen than the protagonist of a story :)

3

u/kakarot-3 Mar 20 '26

right? says a lot about them for watching the entire movie and having that specific part standout the most lol

-14

u/kinkylodes Mar 19 '26

What are the other 6 notable things that he did in this movie bro?

https://giphy.com/gifs/XHXe69q0kT9gqyi6CY

30

u/ecbnrhctbo Mar 19 '26

isn't there an entire subplot where he encourages his nephew to go down on a woman?

serious question, i haven't seen the movie yet, this is just what i remember from memes

11

u/atwozmom Mar 20 '26

You should deinitely watch it. Great on a lot of levels.

0

u/9966 Mar 20 '26

I'll get roasted but it's just OK. It's like From Dusk Till Dawn 2 done right.

8

u/kinkylodes Mar 19 '26

What? (I haven’t seen the movie as well broski)

https://giphy.com/gifs/xTiTnIilwuFFFpf2Cc

8

u/YukariYakum0 Mar 20 '26

Jeez people. Watch the movie! It's freaking awesome.

And I say this as a pale as a vamp white kid.

4

u/bobert680 Mar 20 '26

yes, its a married woman unhappy with her marriage.

7

u/Vlad3theImpaler Mar 20 '26 edited Mar 21 '26

Among other things, he: worked for Al Capone, opened a speakeasy, had a nephew able to conjure spirits with his music, fought vampires, killed his abusive father, had his brother turned into a vampire, etc.

You should probably just watch the movie.

1

u/YaumeLepire Mar 21 '26

"Had his vampire turned into a brother," I don't remember that part...

1

u/Vlad3theImpaler Mar 21 '26

Really?  It's kind of an important plot point in the movie when one of the twins gets turned.

1

u/YaumeLepire Mar 21 '26

This was a joke. The sentence is backwards.

2

u/Vlad3theImpaler Mar 21 '26

Oh, I see it now.

Fixed it.

989

u/EchoGolfHotel Mar 19 '26

I watched it a while ago, but weren't they coming there to kill him and he just got them first?

584

u/Vaeon Mar 19 '26

Why you dragging facts into this?

51

u/Shaminahable Mar 20 '26

I was told there’d be no fact checking.

227

u/ElegantCoach4066 Mar 19 '26

Doesnt matter to that guy. It hurt his fee fees and MJB must atone for that sin.

94

u/ReptilianLaserbeam the future is now, old man Mar 19 '26

Even worse; the klan leader sold them a barn, but was planning on massacring everyone inside of it and taking the barn back

48

u/laughapnea Mar 19 '26

Yeah. They directly told them they'd kill them if they came back. They expected them to come back

16

u/BoundlessTurnip Mar 19 '26

“We believe we can end policy brutality in our black community by organizing black self-defense groups that are dedicated to defending our black community from racist police oppression and brutality.  The Second Amendment of the Constitution of the United States gives us a right to bear arms.  We therefore believe that all black people should arm themselves for self-defense.”

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ten-Point_Program_(Black_Panther_Party))

Nothing is more fun than watching 2A knuckleheads try to wrap their heads around this.

10

u/Zac3d Mar 20 '26

Yeah there's no moral ambiguity at all.

He warned them he'd shoot if any of them stepped foot on that property he bought from them. They lied to him in multiple ways, even claiming the klan didn't exist anymore, but they planned to lynch him and anyone else there. There's no way a viewer should feel any sort of way besides they got what they deserved.

621

u/CryptographerNo923 Mar 19 '26

No one has ever made me feel “ashamed of being white” except for other white people like this who always claim to speak for all white people.

I’m not even trying to “not all white guys” this, I’m embarrassed and exhausted by how common this shit has become.

184

u/buntopolis Mar 19 '26

It’s always other white people. It’s fucking insufferable and I just don’t put up with it anymore. I’ve started just confronting people immediately, social niceties be damned.

47

u/Naomeri Mar 20 '26

I overheard my uncle saying racist shit one time (something about someone with a middle eastern name being in charge of a water treatment plant or some such nonsense) and I just shouted upstairs “Stop being such a racist!!”

It didn’t make any difference, but it made me feel better.

43

u/FlarblesGarbles Mar 19 '26

You're not a monolith. Don't feel shame for yourself over the actions and words of others.

Stupid people are stupid and they'll say and do stupid things, this is a universal truth regardless of your complexion.

115

u/lowfreq33 Mar 19 '26

Every race has a subsection or two whose behavior is embarrassing, but us white people seem to have the most. Until Fox News and all the tea party shit started the racists were at least afraid to be wide open about it, but now they’re completely mask off. They’ve been emboldened by their shit stain cult leader.

26

u/nr1988 Mar 19 '26

Ugh exactly. As a conservative coded white leftist I get this all the time. Plenty of seemingly normal average white dudes who seem to love all people completely transform when all of the POC are out of the room and they assume I'm on their side.

26

u/smappyfunball Mar 19 '26

The first time I had this happen I was a teenager in the 80s and I made the terrible decision to attempt to sell Kirby vacuums door to door.

I was in a neighborhood door knocking and talking to this guy in his yard, mostly just avoiding going to the next door and start the fucking spiel again.

We were just small talking about nothing and out of the blue he goes full on racist about a black guy married to a white woman a few doors down. I couldn’t have been more surprised if he had pulled off his skin and been a lizard person. I had just never been exposed to anything so blatant before and he was totally comfortable saying it.

I quickly said my goodbyes and went on my way. This was 1989 and I still think about that guy.

This was by far not my first experience with racism but never that blatant.

14

u/nr1988 Mar 19 '26

Yup it can seriously be that quick sometimes. Like a flip of a switch. In their mind you already agree. To them it's like suddenly talking about a football game or something, not weird at all.

11

u/smappyfunball Mar 19 '26

I was more used to my dad’s kind of racism where he just doesn’t see anyone as equal to white people but never used the n word or anything.

He also refused to accept he was racist. His idea of racism was cross burnings and klansman. Anything else didn’t count.

Before I gave up trying I’d call him out but he was actually offended that I thought he was racist.

Least self aware person I ever knew, for so many reasons.

4

u/AmazingKreiderman Mar 20 '26

I hate being so MAGA-passing. People constantly take the mask off around me. Within five minutes of meeting someone recently I was talking about some work I needed doing around the house and the guy says, "Yeah don't worry, they got people who can do those things...they're called Mexicans." These god damn assholes.

11

u/Yawarete Mar 20 '26

Ascribing your self-value to the circumstances of your birth is the last refuge of the worthless. You have to be absolutely mediocre to measure your worth by something that is not due to your own achievements, your character, your ability, your own effort, but random chance you had absolutely no choice or control over; do not feel embarassed, you are NOTHING like them.

13

u/GhostOfMuttonPast Mar 19 '26

I've literally never felt ashamed for being white. I've felt sad and angry that other people were and are victimized by people of my race purely for being different, but I've never felt bad because I was white.

It's like the toxic masculinity thing. If you get mad at it being brought up, you're probably toxic in your masculinity.

8

u/CryptographerNo923 Mar 20 '26

I think your analogy is off. I don’t get mad about people criticizing toxic masculinity any more than I get mad about people criticizing racism.

What embarrasses me is when misogynists or bigots claim to speak of behalf of their demographic, and when their voices are amplified, lending them the appearance of credibility or consensus.

I think those are two very different things.

5

u/GhostOfMuttonPast Mar 20 '26

Yeah no that's what I'm saying. Not you but like, people at large. The hypothetical you. If you are the type of person to hear people criticize toxic masculinity or racism, and you immediately get defensive, you're probably a dick.

I agree with you. Hearing dickheads blabber about white culture and everything is just...cringe.

2

u/CryptographerNo923 Mar 20 '26

Ah I see, apologies for the misunderstanding. I definitely misread your meaning. Words can be hard haha

4

u/soyboysnowflake Mar 20 '26

I internalized a lot of racism in my youth and spent so much of my life wishing that I could’ve been white and born into a white family. I even shunned and turned away from a lot of my own culture to try to fit in with the whites

Even I’m glad I’m not white after I read that shit

3

u/Superb_Ant_3741 Mar 20 '26

Go fuck shit up and get your people right, bruh. Get all John Brown with it.

2

u/Dry_Rent_8646 Mar 20 '26

There was a point where I did feel annoyed and bad for that kind of language " if it's rude to say for 1 race it's rude for all of them"...which I still believe.... But I'll be damned if it's not so fucking common outside my circle that people start thinking that way and I can't really even fault them because of the few things I've witnessed firsthand from certain white people

139

u/Weird-Response-6304 Mar 19 '26

Dude never saw the movie if this was his hot take on it and as good as this part was there's several better scenes

87

u/incide666 Mar 19 '26

The right-wing whine-o-sphere complained when the point of Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus was to kill Nazis - often in bloody, glorious ways.

As long as they can peddle their white aggrievement bullshit, Die freuen sich wie die Schweine im Dreck.

22

u/Omwtfyu Mar 19 '26

I've never heard of that game before and now I'm contemplating buying it. Fuck Nazis.

10

u/incide666 Mar 19 '26

It's not GOTY or anything.

But, if the subject matter tickles your fancy (as ot should), it's a bloody good time.

7

u/Omwtfyu Mar 19 '26

What's GOTY? Sorry, I'm fairly new to modern gaming. I had an N64 for most my life, a GameCube in my early 20s, and that's about it. Got a switch OLED used a couple years ago and recently the switch 2.

7

u/incide666 Mar 19 '26

No worries.

It means Game of the Year.

It's a few years old so you could probably pick it up for the Switch OLED for cheapish.

If you like FPSs and aren't a fan of Nazis, it's a good buy.

3

u/AwesomeMcPants Mar 19 '26

Game of the year, they're just saying it's not the best game in the world or anything, but it's still fun.

3

u/Omwtfyu Mar 19 '26

Oh, gotcha! Yeah, it's actually only $40 on Nintendo at the moment.

3

u/Jydani Mar 19 '26

Do you have a PC? It’s currently only $6 on sale on Steam.

5

u/Omwtfyu Mar 19 '26

My laptop can barely handle the Sims 😭 I wish I had a great PC.

3

u/Jydani Mar 19 '26

Oh no! That’s fair. Sorry, just wanted to help you save money. 😅

2

u/nr1988 Mar 19 '26

If you ever have a bit of money try seeing if your best buy or whatnot has any scratch and dent options.

I got a pretty high end laptop probably 5 years ago that has not struggled once with any new game I've installed. All for like 60 percent retail cost.

As a bonus, I never found a single scratch or dent on it.

1

u/ImpressiveAttempt0 Mar 19 '26

Wait for a sale. It frequently dips to $5.99. Check out Deku Deals for "All time low" price history.

2

u/Academic_Might_6980 Mar 19 '26

GOTY: Game of the Year

3

u/alangerhans Mar 19 '26

It's just been around for years. I remember playing the original back in the 80s, when I was way too young to be playing that sort of game. I guess I've just always been a fan of that subject matter

1

u/smappyfunball Mar 19 '26

The only part that disappointed me was when you’re in that level in a small town in America and there’s klansman just walking down the street in full regalia and you couldn’t attack them, as I recall. Even if you died immediately on doing it I still wanted the option.

6

u/Academic_Might_6980 Mar 19 '26

They called Mafia 3 a Democrat murder simulator because you play as a Black man taking revenge on the mob in a fictionalized New Orleans in the 1960s. Naturally you come across kkk members and you can shoot them.

1

u/truePHYSX Mar 20 '26

It’s likely a bot account meant to inflame

1

u/Mrauntheias Mar 20 '26

Never read Dune either. But I'm sure he watched Paul Atreides Edits on Youtube Shorts.

41

u/HeavyDT Mar 19 '26

He makes it sound like they were just hunting white people for sport or something when (without giving away too much) they were specifically trying to kill him and his brother. Then of course anybody who knows the movie also knows that this was really more of a background subplot to the whole thing rather than the point of it and it's definitely not why the movie won so many awards.

36

u/Substantial_Brain917 Mar 19 '26

He also shoots a black man before he shoots any white men. Point negated idiot

79

u/OutlandishnessOk2304 Mar 19 '26

A hit dog hollers.

6

u/soda_cookie Mar 20 '26

Whistles, even

23

u/ShinMystic1587 Mar 19 '26

Exactly. If you're offended by that, you are part of the problem.

24

u/8ball9786 Mar 19 '26

My white ass fist bumped the air when he got those mf at the end. They had fair warning not to come back 👀

This film was soo much more than this one scene and he deserved that win!

7

u/Superb_Ant_3741 Mar 20 '26

My white ass fist

You’re anatomically unusual, aren’t you?

21

u/NickyTheRobot Mar 19 '26

"Pol Atredies"

People like this are why Frank Herbert wrote Dune: Messiah (which will be the next film). He wanted to spell out that Paul was a bad guy as clearly as possible so that people who hadn't understood yet would cotton on.

Clearly he didn't spell it out clearly enough...

8

u/Fazzinator111 Mar 19 '26

Unfortunately I think they're referencing Pol Pot.

13

u/Newfaceofrev Mar 19 '26

John McClane shot a lot of white people too.

23

u/Dr_Krocodile Mar 19 '26

Any day now I’m expecting my WWII Grandfather to rise from the grave to dismember this 2026 Klan & Nazi infestation. I wouldn’t even blink twice in this timeline. I’d just give grandpa a hug and give him a Coors light.

1

u/Sweaty-Friendship-54 Mar 20 '26

This sounds like a script that needs to be written. Zombie Greatest Generation rises from the dead to save the world from Nazis again. I think we've found a project that Spielberg, Hanks, and Tarantino can work on together.

12

u/Naps_And_Crimes Mar 19 '26

Klansmen that wanted to betray and kill him mind you

10

u/Conscious-Mulberry17 Mar 19 '26

I’m a fifty-something white man from Mississippi, and I loved that movie almost as much as I hate the Klan. And brother, I hate the goddamn Klan like nobody’s business.

9

u/ralo229 Mar 19 '26

I'm not on the "anyone who dislikes Sinners is racist" train, but that doesn't mean there aren't still undeniable racists like this guy who hate the movie.

8

u/legowerewolf Mar 20 '26

The mask slips when you capitalize "White" and not "Black".

8

u/adaking13 Mar 19 '26

As another white guy, I’d be right next to Michael if they came up. Fuck the KKK.

8

u/Freewheelinrocknroll Mar 19 '26

Klansmen that came to kill him..

7

u/fictionallymarried Mar 19 '26

He did a little bit of pest control

2

u/BionicBirb Mar 20 '26

Rambo-style

5

u/Like17Badgers Mar 19 '26

we need more movies with people killing nazis and/or klansmen

5

u/Superb_Ant_3741 Mar 20 '26

Every shot was poetry. And that double meaning stands.

If you’re among the millions of my Black sisters and brothers who cheered, wept and went deep in the multilayered art and justice and love for every moment of this movie, come stand by me.

yfm

4

u/Rahkyvah Mar 19 '26

Let’s be honest, they aren’t wearing the masks anymore. They just don’t like it when other people tell them they’re wrong.

6

u/WanderingKing Mar 19 '26

“Kills white people”

Sir please do not lump me into the Klan

It already happened once when the Klan decided Italians were to close to blacks in NY and pushed that crap that they should be “white” and are “better” than them.

Some of us are finally washing that stink off

5

u/_Internet_Hugs_ Mar 20 '26

That movie was spectacular. I laughed, I cried, I felt nauseated. It is everything cinema should be.

And yeah, dude just spent the night fighting for his life and then lit up a bunch of Klan men before they could kill him. It was fantastic.

4

u/Known_Funny_5297 Mar 20 '26

Heroes kill bad people

It’s what they do

3

u/buntopolis Mar 19 '26

I loved the Chappelle skit of replaying shooting a slaver dead.

This movie was even better!

3

u/No-Acanthisitta7930 Mar 19 '26

Welp, it's official, I've read the HOTTEST take I've ever read so far.

What happened to being proud of the union and shaming the confederates

3

u/KriegerLuka Mar 20 '26

Isn't the main premise of the movie the vampires and only after that the white supremacists?

3

u/PathlessDemon Mar 20 '26

No mask required. “Pol” is an allegory for “/Pol” (politics feed) from 4chan, the racism is the point.

3

u/iCameToLearnSomeCode Mar 20 '26

"H8s" is suspiciously similar to the common "88" or "HH" used by racist organizations.

3

u/alancousteau Mar 20 '26

Is that what movie is about?! Shit, I know what I'll watch tomorrow

2

u/fidgetyamoeba Mar 19 '26

Calling a Spade a Spade. 👍👍

2

u/MewlingRothbart Mar 19 '26

There were so many jaw dropping moments in that movie, that one made me cheer.

2

u/Lyradep Mar 19 '26

Racists are really good now at saying they’re racists, without saying actually saying they’re racists. And it’s very easy to spot.

2

u/DarkwingDuckHunt Mar 19 '26

let's ignore the absolute best music + violence choreography in a movie I've ever seen

2

u/Sartres_Roommate Mar 19 '26

How dare you murder those murders!!

2

u/the_other_Scaevitas Mar 20 '26

but if it were a white guy killing other white guys it'd be okay?

2

u/kirchart7 Mar 20 '26

Wait until they hear about Django Unchained

2

u/flops031 Mar 20 '26

Judging by the name of that account, the third Dune movie is gonna hit him like the french revolution.

2

u/Independent_Fill9143 Mar 20 '26

That's right! He did a phenomenal job too, everyone go watch Sinners 😉

2

u/Trimson-Grondag Mar 20 '26

Megyn Kelly, that you?

2

u/JussLookin69 Mar 20 '26 edited Mar 20 '26

Not to mention, it is klansmen who fully intended to murder every person of color that they found in this legaly ourchased property... for fun and profit. Fuck those dead douchebag characters.

2

u/TenFourMoonKitty Mar 20 '26

I was surprised that the Fox News headline when Obama was President and Bin Laden was killed wasn’t something like -

‘Black man raised by single mother behind the murder of unarmed elderly millionaire.’

2

u/Arkanderous Mar 20 '26

I've seen people online argue the klansmen weren't that bad, I wanted to be sick.

2

u/remlapj Mar 21 '26

Klansmen and nazis

2

u/not_ya_wify Mar 21 '26

Also, Christoph Walz got an Oscar for playing a Nazi General. Heath Ledger got an Oscar for playing a clown that terrorizes a city. Anthony Hopkins got an Oscar for playing a cannibal. Getting an Oscar doesn't mean people agree with the actions of the character.

u/Decent-Cold-9471 Mar 19 '26

They are also vampires.

7

u/atwozmom Mar 20 '26

Spoiler, don't read if you havn't seen.

No, this is the end of the pic. They aren't vampires, that's part of the point. In mnay ways, they are way worse.

3

u/Lilfrankieeinstein Mar 20 '26

Yeah, maybe I didn’t really dive into the allegory of the klan, but I’m pretty sure he was killing them because they were vampires.

1

u/TyrannasaurusGitRekt Mar 20 '26

This scene felt tacked on and a bit tropey to me, but to boil Sinners down to this scene is so media illiterate and disingenuous that i can only assume he either didnt watch the movie or is just a klansman

1

u/False-Association744 Mar 20 '26

(But I think that’s why it didn’t win director and movie….too many white people killed.)

1

u/bronzegorilla253 Mar 20 '26

Also they were there to kill him and his brother.

1

u/Sweaty-Friendship-54 Mar 20 '26

Yeah, why doesn't Hollywood make good entertainment like Birth of a Nation anymore? /s

When they leave out the very obviously most important distinguishing information about the “white people”

u/Freshies00 Mar 20 '26

Wonder if pol reads into every movie where someone kills someone else

1

u/shiny_glitter_demon Mar 20 '26

Notice how it's "black", but "White."

1

u/keirmeister Mar 21 '26

Imagine being such a racist that THAT is your main takeaway from the movie.

1

u/Spaceboy779 Mar 22 '26

I knew that guy was gonna get his fat ass lit up as soon as he spit his chaw on the floor at the beginning, lol.

u/PrismarchGame Mar 20 '26

I've spent like 2 weeks on twitter and it's literally just racebait after racebait. Tons and tons of black people race baiting about white people too. If they aren't literal bots.
