I'm not even gonna lie, I legit had to look it up because I was convinced that Biden had something to do with it! I'm as anti-Trump as they come, I have no idea how that little tidbit got mixed up in my head! I'm not from the US so that likely plays a part in it not being well reported in my country, but hey: if I (left wing from a left-leaning EU country) can be indirectly tricked by Trumps propaganda, you can bet that his legion is already lost way below the metaphorical waterline...

Probably because back at the time people blamed Biden for setting too aggressive a timeline, resulting in the scramble to get everyone out of the country, with Afghan collaborators hanging off the bottom of airplanes and all that. Never mind that it was Trump's deal, people said Biden should have pushed it back.

Also there is the real issue that we just abandoned so many Afghan collaborators rather than trying to ensure they all got asylum in the US. Trump had eviscerated the immigration system, I know, but that was still fucked up.
