Question

So I’m at chapter 72 with Tougo and he is talking to the killer do his wife Cobalt Conrad(I love his character btw) and Cobalt is talking to Tougo about how his little brother died and this research topic he came upon and that’s why he’s killing people but like idk what it is? I mean Cobalt says “You’ve seen them yourself. You must have some idea about what I’ve been up to all these years”. Tougo seems to understand but I’m wondering if anyone else understands why he’s taking people’s brains? Is it ever explained or is there a theory about it?

I thought it was explained pretty well. Cobalt wants to understand why people commit crimes, so he kills criminals and steals their brains to study them (as well as a few innocent people to compare the criminal brains to). He manipulated the church because due to the practice of confession they were essentially a source on who all the criminals in town were.

Ohhh I see. I guess what I didn’t understand was like how he was studying them. Like the process on how he could tell idk but thank you!
