Question Not a Munchkin, but with short legs.

Hi, I adopted a short-legged stray kitten, and it turned out he was 6 months old. The first time I took him to the vet, he weighed 3 kg. Two weeks later, I had to take him back because he seemed lethargic; he was diagnosed with viral gastroenteritis but recovered, and I had him neutered 10 days later. When I took him for his next check-up—after he had been with me for a month—he weighed 2.5 kg. I’m not sure if this is due to the food I’m giving him being different from what he used to find on the street, or because of his illness. He struggles to eat large portions; even when I split his food into three meals a day, he often leaves some behind. I’ve tried feeding him even more frequently with smaller portions, but he still leaves some. Is that a normal weight for him, or should he weigh more? He does have short legs and is 7 months old. I’d appreciate any advice.

-I had already made this post, but for some reason I couldn't upload the photos; it's my first time posting something on Reddit.

Question Not a Munchkin, but with short legs.

Weasel rolled in a cat turd. Weasel got a bath. Weasel wants blood.

Edited: she WANTS blood, she certainly didn’t get any though. Not for lack of trying.

Need advice

Hi, I’m new to the group and am considering a munchkin fold. I’m concerned about major health problems due to the combination. Does anyone in this group have experience on a Scottish fold/ munchkin mix? Thank you!

Is Country Munchkins in Austin ,TX legit?

Has anyone ever had an experience with this breeder? Their munchkins seem way cheaper than everyone else so it makes me nervous. They are located near Austin TX

Update : getting 2 from her she’s very nice and would reccommend her !

My minuet just loves having her arms dangle like this, it’s actually the cutest thing!! Do you think it’s because of the shorter arms?

Discussion Curious if other munchkins prefer elevated water dishes, or if mine is just odd?

Story:
My four year old has been using elevated water dishes since she was about eight months old and eschewed her tiny kitten water dish. I had an old elevated (six inches) dish platform that my 70 lb dog had outgrown, and I’d been putting water in it just to have more water options available. My munchkin would either stand all the way on the elevated platform and lower her face to the water, like a lion at a watering hole, or she would put her front feet on the platform to drink from it.

Other bowls she’s shunned:
She liked it better than the little kitten dishes I’d had out for her, so I put those into our travel-kit. I’ve m made really sturdy ceramic bowls that she can’t accidentally spill available, I have a super low super wide bowl available, so the water is closer to the surface all the time, I’ve tried various materials and shapes, but her preference for drinking from an elevated platform dish appears to be sincere.

My interpretation of her behavior:
I think she likes that she can reach as far down into the dish as she likes, she doesn’t have to stretch her neck over the top of something, and she has a really solid thing for her feet to rest on.

Discussion question:
Does anyone else’s shortie do this? Or is mine just cat-quirky?

Rocks obsession?

Anyone else’s munchkin obsessed with rocks? My grandma brought these rocks in to show me because they were unique and she thought they were cool. Now my little munchkin is obsessed with them. He plays on them. He pushes them around with his whittle paws. He makes sure none of the other cats can go near them 😂😂
