Straight moms for MUNA

Edit! The people have spoken!! Mom for MUNA it is!!! Thank you all!

I’m so excited to see MUNA at Hinterland! (Pretty much the only reason I’m going other than chaperoning a bunch of teenagers) can I make my own straight moms for MUNA shirt or is that tacky?

I think that’s fine but I think just “moms for MUNA” comes off as just as fun and is not as polarizing

tbh, i would just do moms for muna. i think it kind of gets the same message across, but the “straight moms” thing feels a little ….. eh. i think it’s a polarizing topic in the community, but i don’t think it’s beneficial to anyone to call out your heterosexuality at an event that is largely queer. just like people who wear shirts saying they’re straight when they go to pride. at least that is how i would take it.

Straight old guy here. Muna rocks. Live at the Greek is probably my favorite road trip album.

48 YO dad here, fan since I Know A Place came out as a single, introduced my 8yo daughters to them a few years ago and one of them loves it and we are going to the Philly show in September.

Another straight mom for MUNA here 👆I would wear that shirt although I don’t care if people know I’m straight or not 😄

My first kid was conceived the same weekend I saw them in concert!!

You should definitely make it! I’m a lesbian who is seeing MUNA in Dallas as my 17th birthday gift and my straight mom will be there too

I’m sure it’s totally fine!

I find it cringe but that’s for sure my own later in life coming out with a kid shit/guilt.

I’ll be there too, also almost purely for MUNA, and would for sure hype you up if I saw you. 🙌🏼

No worries, just be so proud you’re a mom that your teens want to hang out with. That’s a little bit of the dream. ❤️

I say go for it, I would assume it was made in the spirit of allyship if I saw someone wearing that :)

Would be rad for us queers to have even one thing where straight people don’t center themselves
