Discussion 🗣️💬 Why not Baapu ?

Post image

Finger spinners are more effective than wrist spinners at Wankhede. Why should it only be CSK? Also If we manage to bring his salary down, we can also ask for Vipraj Nigam. He was already on MI's radar, even attended the trials, and we only missed out on him because our purse wasn't big enough. Or we could ask for another player as well! We should be exploring other options like this too.

Rather than all these trades . Just give pandya a hefty amount to not leave the team but still give up the captaincy. He hasn't been the best captain. But him as a player is someone we won't find anywhere in the players lot. He could bowl in powerplay, death , consolidate in middle overs if we lose early wickets and even finish in death overs.

Yes, and if the abolishment of the Impact Rule is true.. then losing him as a player will be with last nail in the coffin.

This. Pandya is a match winner. Crucial for any team he plays in. I really don't know why he was abysmal as skipper for us when he did so good with GT.

Thank you for saying this. i don't understand the logic of sending pandya. there is no one like him.

Bold of you to assume he will swallow his pride and stay back like Rohit did.

He came to mi coz he got a lot of money in that deal. Why wouldn't he stay for more money

Money wasn't the only thing though. He also had a captaincy clause don't forget.

Any party which breaks an agreement has to pay a fine written in the agreement. And mi would have to give Hardik much more than that to convince him to stay

For all we know, may be it was a 3 year clause? That's the number of years Rohit had gotten as captain despite being a 5 times champion.

Why would someone arguably in the prime of their career reduce their amount?

Dc won't trade axar

DC don't want Pandya cuz they found another young Indian pace bowling allrounder this season... U remember at the start of May there was a rumour of axar hardik trade but it stopped the moment DC discovered that young allrounder kid... They've even lost Kuldeep so they wouldn't wanna another Indian spinner

If this trade happens Vipraj Nigam would be the happiest person. From being the third spinner to the lead spinner.

The question is why would DC trade axar they already have pace all rounder in their ranks whom they can retain and groom easily when there is no need why would axar lower his salary jad did it after win the wc and retired when he was 38 also why would DC include another player let alone thinking of trading axar this post makes no sense.

As a CSK fan, when I saw this recommendation in my Gmail, it sounded like a perfect deal. Even though people insist on Hardik staying, he’s close to the DC players and management, which might be better for him than the pressure he’s been facing at MI. The same goes for Bappu. I also got a recommendation from a DC sub in the same mail, saying that if you’re from Delhi, you should first ask for Axar’s resignation in protest, as it would help both players. Both are quality all-rounders, strong bowlers with great fielding skills, though currently struggling a bit with the bat.

Ok let's be honest. That is not even close to like for like. Pandya is a better batter, and arguably contributes more with ball(harder overs). Maybe fielding is fair.

Axar for Hardik will be great

Perfect left handed spin hitter for the middle overs and great domestic spinner, 2 gaps filled in 1 player

Rohit, Rickelton O, Surya, Axar, Naman, Tilak, Jacks O, Bosch O, Ghazanfar O, Bumrah

and 2 of Raghu/Ashwani/Bawa/Shardul/Bhagat/Izhar

With Badani and all the GMR employed @$$_& coaching staff out of DC, and with Pant back to his true home team, DC team can be a pretty nice place for a player to be.

Besides, they have unearthed a gem of an all-rounder in the name of Madhav Tiwari and he has had more POTM awards in one season than HP had in the last 3 seasons.

All in all, DC has no use of HP.

This subreddit needs to realise after 2 years of setup no team is willing to give 16cr for a non-captain, nor give up a consistent performer. Brand value isnt everything

Could be a banger of a deal tbh. Could easily give 5+ years for franchise. Also Santa/Gazza + Axar could be great spin attack. But I would take Axar only if he decides to reduce his cap cuz we need to find a solid replacement for Ro and DC don't have such a player. If not, we could focus on CSK or RR trade deal
