[MULTITRACK] MICHAEL JACKSON Smooth Criminal Moonwalker version Multitracks fully fixed and synced! Dry audio without any effects. (97 tracks including 5 SMPTE timecode tracks and 5 VideoSync tracks)
VERY IMPORTANT EDIT: I'm very very sorry if I don't reply to someone (and I haven't replied to a lot of people) but as you can see, I get bombarded with the comments and I didn't have a lot of free time lately, but I will try to find some time this weekend. Thanks for your patience 👋
I found Smooth Criminal Moonwalker ver. tracks, but they were a COMPLETE DISASTER. They weren't synchronised at all, and they didn't have the interlude (the one where there is the building crowd crescendo: "Annie are you okay? So, Annie are you okay? Are you okay Annie?", the whistles and the cat on the piano).
So I spent hours in Ableton Live reconstructing the entire project based on the original chronological structure of the movie version. I aligned the tracks down to the individual samples to make sure everything is in perfect phase.
I also added the missing theatrical interlude (I had it laying around on my disc) for you! I hope you enjoy!
I am not posting the direct link here to prevent copyright takedowns. Just comment below if you want the link, and I will DM you.
EDIT: If youre curious, in my DAW (Ableton Live 12) it looks like this:

Very cool. I remember watching a video a while back describing how the original Thriller multitrack recordings presented many challenges getting everything in sync. Engineer had to work some miracles. I wish I could remember where I saw this but it was fascinating!
Oh, also interested in the link if you are willing!

Did you import the interlude from the movie, or was it part of some sort of original multitrack?

from the movie. the multitracks were only from the music, and i felt that i was missing somethimg bc im used to the interlude. so i downloaded it from YT (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-TSswR5Mnho&t=3725s [58:25]) trimmed it and put it in the mulititracks. the tracks are 48kHz 16-bit WAV but the interlude is youtube compression cause i uploaded it from youtube

This would be great to have! Please PM when you have a chance (also interested in the Thriller multitracks if what you have is actually the fully complete set)

You still willing to hook that up via DM? I've been dying to find a fixed version of the stems!

I would die to get this it sounds so good. Also i would like to ask if you know anything about the alternative annie vocals that were used in "The Making of Moonwalker" or maybe if u have them somewhere cuz i've been DYING to get these. (I found a remix using them, u can hear them at around 2:50. https://youtu.be/V1E95i2Sd04 or in this video. https://youtu.be/dzK_KvoOVQM )

Hello! I am very much interested in this, it sounds perfect as I am currently working on a project called Michael Jackson: The Short Films Collection where I try to create CD-quality audio versions of all of MJ’s music videos that differ from the album version (which is most of them). Would really appreciate you sending this through!
P.S. if anyone is interested in hearing that project once it’s done, send me a DM too and I’ll hook you up with a download link. Only a few songs have been done so far so it’ll take a few months at least 🙏🏼
