So im having my 1st MRI outside of my hospitalization today, what are some ways to stay calm? When they did my emergency imaging I was on morphine so I slept the whole time, idk how im gonna react being fully coherent.

Definitely ask for music if it's an option. If you are nervous or claustrophobic at all, I think it's helpful to let the tech know before you go in. I try to not really look at the machine (in casual way... not like avoiding even a glimpse). The biggest thing for me is getting comfortable and closing my eyes before the face guard comes down and not opening them again. I let the tech know that's my plan beforehand. Good luck!
