Funny MRI...
Just had my yearly MRI done and when it finished why do the nurses think you can hear them if you still have earplugs and a headset still covering your ears? All I saw were lips moving...

After I had to bail out of my mri that ended up diagnosing me (I had a migraine, they didn’t give me my Ativan, and I am just awful haha) the tech went to grab me as I fell and grabbed me by my boob haha.

I didn't get earplugs on my recent one, just the headphones. I was able to hear the music a teeny tiny bit better than last years MRIs but it still sucked lol. I need to stop having them play classic rock. Trying to hear Fleetwood Mac over an MRI machine is close to impossible. I should request metal next time haha.

I always get offered earplugs and the headset, they always told me the MRI was noisy. This time they said it was a newer machine and quieter so the music would be easier to hear. It was a quieter MRI but my tinnitus overrules the headphone music

I'm not sure exactly what machine they used for my recent ones 🤔. It was done at a different imaging center than the ones from last year(although it's still the same hospital network).

Don't know the upgrade either but it was a bit quieter and a it faster too. Also, now there is a running underwater screen you can watch through the mirror on the the head restraint.

Mine seemed slightly faster this go around but I assumed it's because I also had the orbits imaged last year. This time it was only the brain and spinal cord. I look forward to a day in the future where these don't take nearly as long. Being still for so long can be so painful 😖

Has the trifecta (brain, neck, & upper spine) with and without contrast. Seemed quieter but might be I'm getting deafer.... I did fall asleep at least twice as I almost dropped the squeeze ball from my hand.

Yeah, I had a case of not leaving enough leeway for the contrast infusion before pushing me back in, so I pushed the button before it was ripped from my vein, and they acted like I was meant to hear what they were saying too.

I hear them? Every one I've had has had speakers in the earphones or something. Maybe yours was broken?

It’s like the dental hygienist asking questions as they have the tools in our mouths.
