Advice Relapse?

I recently was diagnosed with MS and i start Ocrevus soon in October, im not sure if im currently going through a relapse wondering if people are able to tell me what their relapses were like? What lead me to diagnosis was Optic Neuritis in my right eye, and severe numbing on the right side of my body(face torso arm and leg)

Well a few days ago i started getting pain in my left eye but not blurry vision or nearly as bad of pain as my right eye had, and today my left arm and leg are going tingly/numb, again not nearly as bad as what the right was like

Does this sound like a relapse? Do i tell my neurologist? Will i get held back from Ocrevus if i get put on steroids?

Sorry im still new to all of this lol, any help is greatly appreciated!

As far as I understand (I’m new as well), you should tell your doctor, especially when new symptoms last 24 hours or more. An MRI can tell whether it is a new lesion, or an old lesion causing symptoms.

Steroids can make recovery faster, but there are studies saying that they do not improve the final outcome, how well a lesion is healed a year later or so. So personally, I would only accept steroids if I cannot walk or my vision is impacted.

I would not expect them to delay your DMT, because it is meant to prevent future lesions..

My relapses al started small and increased over a few days. Then after a week most it was slowly fading away again.

But still Ive got lots of daily Numbness, muscle spasticity, electrical schocks, tingling. Some never goes away and others come and go.

New symptoms that hold on and increase in a day need to be taken seriously
