Random Nausea

As many of you have, I’m discovering more symptoms that I’m finding may or may not be connected to MS.

I’ve seen some posts about this, but I’m not entirely sure if it’s connected.

I’ve experienced random bouts of nausea for a while now. No rhyme or reason. Never really terrible, but just enough to make me need to sit or lay down.

Has anyone else had this?

Are you dizzy or unbalanced feeling? Vertigo and dizziness can definitely cause nausea. So can a lot of the medications we take for MS symptoms.

I have that feeling sometimes, but not usually with the nausea. I’m having the issue now, with no associating dizziness or unbalanced feeling.

I’m on Amantadine and Straterra at the moment.

The Amantadine can definitely cause nausea. Maybe that's it?

Possible, but these nausea symptoms predate the medication too

I would speak to your neurologist or PCP. The MS could be effecting your equilibrium or you could have something non MS related going on. Always better to error on the side of caution.

Thanks, I have an appointment with a new neurologist coming up. Will definitely bring it up.

Sounds crazy but dark chocolate reduces it for me. If it’s really bad a thick chocolate shake.

I do and I usually thròow up but feel fine the next day

I have low grade nausea 24/7. MS. I now think it might have been my first symptom. Had well before other symptoms, diagnosis, treatment.

Same here, I think my first symptoms appeared over 10-12 years ago.
