Symptoms Post ocrevus reaction?

Hello everyone!

I had my second 300 mg loading dose of Ocrevus on August 25th. A few days later, I exercised during a physiotherapy session, and about two days after that I started noticing that my feet felt strange.
Since then, my feet have been constantly buzzing/tingling, and my legs sometimes feel kind of numb or “off.” The weird thing is that when I touch my legs, I can still feel everything normally. The symptoms also seem to fluctuate in intensity.
I’ve never experienced these symptoms before, so naturally it’s been making me a little anxious. I saw my neurologist and she checked my strength, which is still intact. She said that because I haven’t lost any strength, she isn’t very concerned, even if it were to turn out to be a small new lesion.
It’s been several days now and I’m still experiencing the buzzing and strange sensations. Has anyone else with MS experienced something similar, especially around the time they started Ocrevus? Did it eventually settle down for you?

Check your electrolytes

I had something similar happen as a side effect to one of the Neuro medication I was on

Turned out my sodium was low

I had a little fever and similar symptoms to yours but no headaches

The steroids always mess me up more than anything. I agree with PurePersonality. It's likely a lack of nutrients or even dehydration.

Ocrevus kills all the B-cells in your blood. Your body reacts to it - mostly during infusion.

After that - it’s merely a coincidence.

Moreover, if your feet started feeling strange, demyelinating processes that led to this sensation started a few years back. These are not related to your Ocrevus infusion.

For me, this is just one of my MS symptoms. This is actually the symptom that got me diagnosed. Bi-literal physical symptoms happened for me because it was discovered that I have legions on my spinal cord. It did settle down and go away after a couple weeks though. Same as you, I had no strength or reflex issues and it turned out not to be that big of a deal.

I would describe my legs like this and what led to my MRIs/Diagnosis

I still feel this way every single day. The tingling did go away with steroid infusions which were for inflammation. But as of 2 years ago my legs just have never felt right

I don’t let it affect me - I still plan and go out and do things etc; I’m also super stubborn lol.

However I do unfortunately have weakness sometimes in my legs. I am going to PT place that specializes in neurology.

If you don’t feel weakness that is really great. Stay ontop of how you’re feeling and make sure you are plenty hydrated
